Review and approve submittal for reinforcement steel according to the specifications and standards. Witness testing of reinforcement steel for tensile stress, bend & re-bend and elongation.
Review and approve shop drawings against structural design drawings.
Review and approve submittals for structural concrete repair materials according to the standards and project specifications.
Conduct concrete plant visits for trial mixes for various mixes required for the project and witness their testing to ensure suitability of the mix for the project.
Monitor progress of work and advise contractor to enhance speed if the work is lagging behind the program schedule.
Monitor pouring of concrete according to the requirements of the code of practice and the relevance of the structural members.
Review interim payment certificate related to civil & structural works by measuring quantities from approved design drawings using AutoCAD and project specifications against the price and provision in the project bill of quantities (BOQ) and against the approved inspection requests (IRs).

Prepare logs of materials to evaluate weekly and monthly quantities of materials received.
To conduct and witness testing of all material samples.
Prepare logs of concrete pouring & cylinder crushing results and soil compaction test results.
Issue site instructions and NCRs as and when required and maintain follow up logs of the same.
