Finance Lead for KSA Fulfillment Centers
Duties include:
• Partner with Operation Business Leaders of Saudi Arabia to provide advice, finance support, and drive process improvement throughout organization.
• Preparation of annual Operational Plans and quarter Guidance (adjusted plans)
• Challenging and approving spend requests (POs)
• Lead the labor planning process
• Month-end financial closing (including accruals, P&L preparation, bridge analysis and commentary)
• Acted as the Finance Lead to the Cost Structure Review project, which reviewed all cost items in order to come up with Product Cost reports that are simple, accurate and reliable.
• Created a product cost model to compare actual and target cost for each product.
• Created Excel model to test Hadeed for asset impairment.
• Analyze SAP cost allocations and proposed the necessary changes.
• Create Excel scenario models such as Make-or-Procure and Sell-or-Downstream.
• Perform quarterly income statement variance analysis.
• Answer external auditor inquires regarding cost allocations.
• Prepare flash earnings report by product for the President and the Executive Management Team.
• Prepare legal financial statements (Income Statement & Balance Sheet)
IFRS Convergence Project, Corporate Finance
Working with the Business Consultant (PwC) and IT Consultant (SAP) as part of the Cost Flow work stream to convert SABIC and its affiliates from SOCPA to IFRS. The Cost Flow Work Stream is responsible for the accounting changes to Inventory, Joint Operations & Production Agreements, and Tooling Agreements.
My responsibilities included:
• Reviewing, editing and updating the position papers explaining the subject, the current treatment under SOCPA and the proposed treatment for the gap between SOCPA and IFRS.
• Explaining the business requirements to the SAP team to assist in creating the system solution Blueprints.
• Reviewing and approving the SAP Blueprints.
• Proposing test scenarios for the SAP solutions, reviewing test scripts, and performing the Phase 1 of the User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
• Preparing templates for SABIC's affiliates to fill in order to bridge them from SOCPA to IFRS.
• Supporting the affiliates with filling their templates and answering any inquires they may have.
• Reviewing the affiliates' templates for any mistakes or inconsistencies.
• Supporting the GL Accountants and the affiliates in the monthly closing for the first three months of 2017 using the newly created SAP transactions.

My responsibilities in the E&BS include:
• Preparing and analyzing the annual 1+4 Years Plan & Budget for the SBU, while ensuring the following of Corporate's guidelines.
• Conducting and writing financial analysis of the SBU's monthly, quarterly and YTD performance.
• Preparing the financial data for a Monthly and a Quarterly report that is presented by the SBU's EVP to SABIC's CEO.
• Preparing the Monthly Performance Report which is presented to the SBU's EVP and GMs by the Economics and Business Support Sr. Manager.
• Preparing and analyzing a monthly Working Capital - Accounts Payable dashboard.
• Planning for the E&BS department expenditure (G&A) on a yearly basis.
• Reporting the SBU departments' monthly actual expenditures to the respective GMs and Directors.
• Coordinating and consolidating the SBU departments' expenditure (G&A) plans, and entering
them in SAP and IBM Cognos.
Attending the Finance & Accounting Saudization Program- Professional Development Program
(PDP) . This is an intensive training program designed to prepare new graduates for their new roles in support for the Saudization of high-level Finance and Accounting positions. During this program, I
have attended a series of Management and Technical courses in addition to SAP training.
