I am heading the Finance department, IT department including SAP-ERP.
My role involve writing finance policy, accounting policy, direction to finance and accounts departments, setting KPI's, guiding and monitoring Finance and accounts department.
My role in IT and SAP evolves around meeting clients, understanding their requirements, making best possible proposals for SAP implementation, gap analysis, business re-engineering etc.
• To study and identify business gaps from the best business practices, Internal Management Control systems, business processes, ERP/SAP system implementation and the desired objectives of the organization.
• To propose and spearhead preparation of RACI Chart for entire business operations including all departments, divisions and projects in hand.
• Member of various business committees such as “Productivity Monitoring”, Systems enhancement and spearheaded committee of “Performance Evaluation scheme for all staffs”.
• Advisory to CFO for Internal controls, various checks and balances through SAP Systems in Business, commercials and finance area.
• Successfully managed the expectations of stake holders by ensuring and building a trusted relation between the project owner and the implementation partner.
•Trained the senior management on SAP solution and presenting key facts and details to the executive board.
• Successfully mitigated project risk during implementation and roll-out.

•Responsible for mapping existing system (Quick Books) to Legacy system SAP.
•Business re-engineering of work processes to adopt the best business practice in SAP system.
•Followed ASAP implementation methodology & designed business processes by writing business blue prints.
•System testing at realization stage including transfer pricing concepts.
Full configuration of the project covering following modules: FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-Assets, FI-GL, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-PA, FI-MM Integration, FI-SD Integration, FI-Payroll integration. Configurations included : GL Accounts, Account determination, Mapping material movements during procurement to material ledger
Update structures and assignment to ledger.

Job Responsibilities: Finance and BPR related.
• Analysis of Financial Statement including Balance Sheet, Ratios etc as per US -GAAP & IFRS / IAS.
• To guide in preparing financial project report.
• To perform Business re-engineering work for contracting and tendering department.
• System implementation at various levels of the organization and recommendations for migration from existing ERP - Quick Books to SAP system.
• To professionally guide the organization for obtaining various credit line facilities from banks and financial institutions.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To evolve SPP (Strategic positioning paper) & SWOT analysis for the Finance Division.
2. Periodic review of the Group’s Budget.
3. Set the goals & constantly monitor the progress.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assessment of book-keeping & financial records kept in ERP package using high tech means.
2. Analysis of financial statements by studying various Ratios.
3. To provide general and specific accounting and financial reporting services and perform financial planning and budgetary controls as required by management.
MIS, CASH & FUND MANAGEMENT
1. MIS reports on Asset & Inventory Management.
2. Credit & cash line management i.e forecasting, planning & procurement of funds & its effective utilisation.
3. To Manage short-term investments, prepare strategies for surplus & negative cash balances.
4. To develop & improve on a regular basis the internal & company operating procedures for finance division.
5. Effective Cash & Fund flow management.
6. Constant & sustained follow-up on corporate Budgetary results through quarterly review meetings.
EXPENSES CONTROL & RISK MANAGEMENT
1.To constantly monitor & control cost emerging centers.
2.To negotiate for prices under direct control & to provide inputs for all other expenses.
3.To study & review project risk, operational risk using Risk measurement & management tech.
4.To manage all risks associated with : Assets, Receivables & stocks, Credit Lines & Money
market fluctuations, FOREX risks including interest arbitrage, fund & Cash flows, Tenders & Contracts etc.
CORPORATE, INSTITUTIONAL & EDP RELATED ACTIVITIES
1. Provide up-to-date accounting and finance procedures to employees of the Finance Area.
2. To develop, implement, and maintain enhancements to the software as required by users.
3. Assist Business and Finance area departments in the development of internal procedures and

4. Liaison with Internal & Statutory Auditors.
