Achievement:

Responsibilities:
• Following up on the short and long term planning of limestone quarry opening, operation and development.
• Overseeing all mining activities across the quarry encompassing surveying, drilling and blasting as well as design and production in activities in 8 different quarries.
• Planning and managing mobile equipments for quarry activities and supervising the mix design process to ensure the quality of raw materials feeding the kiln.
• Developing and maintaining equipments, crusher plant and ensuring timely implementation of all deliverables.

Responsibilities:
• Directed production and materials management, followed up on the availability, demand, supply and pricing trends for all mineral resources from the quarry.
• Sourced new local suppliers across the Kingdom to cater to the changing demands of the company in terms of raw materials, consumables and commodities in order to reduce cost and related overheads.
• Oversaw the rollout of new mining projects and minerals resources capacity, spearheaded investigation projects to prove reserves for new cement lines.
• Determined projected time frames, opening projections, quarrying issues and monitored all processes to ensure timely completion of project within budgetary constraints.
• Prepared bid documentation and comparison sheets for all new projects, performed vendor evaluation and oversaw tender award.
• Led the new project of aggregates, designed mining plans for newly opened quarries and coordinated with technical centers in Lyon and Cairo to ensure work progress.
• Communicated project status and costs to senior management, periodically conducted site visits to verify workflow, quality of work and mitigate any resultant issues.
Achievements:
• Served as the Project Manager for the quarry opening during the plant start up phase.
• Successfully conducted the performance guarantee test for 2 crushers using the Krupp Forder technique with the assistance of the Area Manager.

• Spearheaded a team across all areas of quarry operations right from materials planning and management to quarry operation and development.
• Formulated and followed up on long and short term planning for opening, operation, and development of marble quarries under the company's command as per its strategic objectives.
• Oversaw all mining activities encompassing surveying, drilling and blasting as well as following up on the design and production progress in eight different quarries.
• Carried out prospecting and exploration work for new raw materials such as Iron Ore and Bauxite within the existing quarry complex.
• Planned for and scheduled the operation and logistics of all mobile equipments used for quarry activities while adhering to the highest standards of productivity, safety and mining regulations.
• Managed the mix design process to ensure the quality of raw materials fed into the kiln, employed best practices in production to minimize wastage and defective produce.
• Enforced a comprehensive maintenance plan quarry wide, maintained equipments, crusher plant and ensure timely implementation of all preventive and pre-emptive processes.
• Ensured that all maintenance and repair programs were in line with cost optimization guidelines and company KPI’s of all crusher units.
• Planned the budget and overheads for raw material and quarries process, managed agreements and contractual requirements for external raw material supply.
• Formulated a plan for the investigation process and took core samples to cover all the data needs for the chemical analysis stage.
• Used the JDE program to approve all purchase requests for ordering raw materials through the system, manages heavy mobile equipment’s workshop and received weekly maintenance reports.

Responsibilities:
• Implemented and ensured compliance of all quarry operations with Lafarge health and safety systems / standards and best practices.
• Ensured that all accidents and incidents are reported and fully investigated and corrective action taken as necessary.
• Led a team of quarry as well as contractor personnel working in the quarry areas, with safety as the key priority to complete all mining operations within prescribed constraints.
• Trained the quarry personnel and contractors to ensure they continue to meet the competency requirements.
• Executed work as per the annual quarry plan and budgets with additional responsibility for ensuring quarry cost control and forecasting.
