-Offer technical and commercial expertise to the Hub Execution Centre (HEC) UK team, where I interpret complex customer requirements and work on providing quotations and solution proposals to our customers.
-Analyse reasonably complex RFQs (Request For Quotation) within core business and with few unreleased contents and prepare costing as per process and tools.
-Prepare offer documentation consistent with Delegation of Authority, validation in bFO. Perform advanced risk analysis. Draft mono-BU/moderate size/complexity tender (Cat. A/B). Support the Opportunity Leader during customer negotiations and closing of the deal.
-Ensure high collaboration and teamwork is established between the Tendering Team & all Business Units, Application Centres, and Stakeholders.
-Assess customer's RFP to ensure the best Schneider offer is available and assist the customer and Sales team with technical & commercial information.
-Maintain regular contact with project stakeholders and support final negotiations with customers to win the order.
-Manage the overall tendering process from S1 to P1 Gates, co-ordination of all Inside Group and Outside Group stakeholders to ensure all risks are identified.
-Liaise with third-party contractors for specialist work, e.g. HV installation, Containers, Battery Chargers Etc. -Negotiated best offers and reviewed incoming tenders from internal and external suppliers to comply with customer specifications before being included in a bid to the Customer.
-Engagement and co-ordination of all respective Approvers & SME's in a timely manner and participate in bid reviews as required.
-Identify, assess, and minimize the commercial exposure of the Business Unit.
-Work towards compliance to customer specifications and documentation and validation of our technical solution and value engineering.
-Push relevantly a maximum scope on digitization including Digital Grid software, in line with the group strategy.

• Producing tenders as necessary according to department loading demands.
• Reviewing enquiries and identify those which can be offered using standard pricing.
• Utilizing technical background competence to understand the customer specification, requirements and
providing solutions.
• Working in collaboration with the external salesforce to support and execute strategies to establish products
and solutions during identification phase.

• Reviewing and approving tender price/costing estimates and submit for management approval in accordance
with the tendering process.
• Ensuring that formal risk analysis and mitigation is carried out on appropriate tenders and is submitted with
approval requests.
• Engagement and co-ordination of all respective Approvers & SMEs in a timely manner and participate in bid
reviews as required.
• Providing a risk register for a project to accept and mitigate the potential risks.
• Manage the overall tendering process from S1 to P1 Gates, co-ordination of all Inside Group and Outside
Group stakeholders to ensure all risks are identified.
• Ensuring all the orders received against tender are properly verified to be in line with the quotation and all the
information is present prior to handover to contracts.
• Being proactive in eliminating any contract related issue that might lead to non-payment of invoices.
• Ensuring that all the opportunities and quotes are correctly entered into the Schneider CRM tool and that all
the activities and intelligence is recorder and maintained in the system.

KEY & ACHIEVEMENTS
• Holding responsibility for 11 kV design of switchgears for Western Power Distribution, Scottish Power,
Electricity Northwest, and various other independent customers.
• Reviewing technical requirements and preparing functional design specifications appropriately, whilst forging
strong relationships with customers and technical representatives.
• Performing 33kV CBGS0 / 11 kV GenieEVO panel schematics and layout design and programming Schneider
P3 and Sepam relays.
• Designing customer specific cabinets and schematics for G59 & NVD protection on ePlan.
• Preparing programmable software logic files to meet requirements and integrating with other operating
systems.
• Collaborating with other Application Design Engineers and automation partners during tendering and execution
phases, to achieve successful integration between interconnected equipment and devices.
• Liaising closely with customers and the plant, to prepare and execute FAT processes and documentation.
• Driving improvements in technical design and innovation in order enhance competitiveness, quality and
profitability of Schneider Electrics equipment offer.
• Maintaining a high-level of understanding across the breadth of equipment, devices and packages offered,
and keeping up to date with the latest technology and market demands.

• Undertook reviews of requirements for MCCs / autotransformers and prepared functional design specifications.
• Attended technical meetings with stakeholders and produced single line diagrams / schematics.
• Generated technical specifications for product lines, based on inputs from customers for 11 KV & 3.3KV
switchboards which included G59 protection, directional, non-directional OCEF protections, generator &
transformer differential protection etc. intertripping signals and mechanical interlocking.
• Provided signals for SCADA & PLC and designed transformer protection panels.
• Dealt with queries from stakeholders during switchboard commissioning and installation phases.
• Verified switchboard drawings and the CHP panel boards to ensure all interfaces were available for the CB
trip, G59 trip, and intertrip send and receive signals.
• Performed site visits to make sure the position of switchboards / CHPs was correct, including interfacing.

• Performed comprehensive studies of engineering requirements and produced engineering specification sheets
to produce GAs / electrical schematics for customer approval.
• Undertook the design and engineering of electrical switchboards / substations up to 12KV in line with various
protection schemes including OCEF / DOCEF, REF, SBEF, differential protection, generator protection,
transformer protection, bus-zone protection, pilot wire protection and intertripping schemes in line with
customer specifications.
• Held responsibility for all 11 kV WPD (Welsh & English) Areva & Siemens relay switchboard projects and the
creation of appropriate standards.
• Worked with many DNOs including Southern Electric Contracting (SEC), Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE),
UK Power Networks (previously EDF energy), Electricity Northwest (previously United Utilities) and Central
Networks.
• Additionally worked with non-DNO customers, from the UK and worldwide, including Patel Contracting (Middle
East), Energy Solutions / Technical Solutions (Middle East), Genser Power (Ghana), Thames Water Utilities.
