Project Brief:
Developing an area right from the enabling works. Construction of the following Infrastructure Works like Landscaping for the whole project Roads complete in all respects with culverts, Bridges, Underpasses, Storm drainage network, Potable Waterline (DI & HDPE Pipes), Sanitary sewer line (VC & GRP Pipes), Electrical & Street lighting networks and Telecom networks, Irrigation Pump Station, Water Pump Station and Electrical Substations.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
As a Senior Road Engineer:
● Reviewing Shop Drawings supplied by the contractor.
● Working as a Road Design Engineer - the task includes Re-Design of Project
● Ensuring that the construction work accomplished in accordance with the technical specifications and other Contract Documents, and bringing any instances of non-conformance with the technical specifications to the Team Leader’s attention.
● Checking all quantity measurements and calculations required for payment Purposes and ensuring that all measurements and calculations carried out in a manner and at the frequencies specified in the contract documents.
● Supervision of the road construction.
● Follow up of quantity survey and checking the Contractors invoices.
● Preparation of Daily progress report.
● Give practical advice to contractor on construction matters.
● Checking Layout of roads jointly with contractor.
● Checking material quality before execution of permanent work.
● Inspect construction including temporary works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
● The task includes Supervision, Road Construction management, inspect all works regarding roads & Highways like Embankment, following: Subgrade, Sub Base, Asphaltic Base course, asphaltic wearing course etc.
● Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare necessary lists and handover to operating authority.

As a Senior Road Engineer, January 2015 - June 2018:
● Reviewing Shop Drawings supplied by the contractor.
● Working as a Road Design Engineer - the task include Re-Design of Project - (Scheme with 6Wadis and 194 Roads).
● Verifying “as-built: drawings.
● Ensuring the design/construction to comply with relevant specifications, standards and civil codes.
● Ensuring that the construction work accomplished in accordance with the technical specifications and other Contract Documents, and bringing any instances of non-conformance with the technical specifications to the Team Leader’s attention.
● Checking all quantity measurements and calculations required for payment Purposes and ensuring that all measurements and calculations carried out in a manner and at the frequencies specified in the contract documents.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, June 2018 - till date:
● Inspection of Formation level and bedding for Potable water, Treated Sewage Effluent, Electrical ducts, Storm water and Foul Sewer lines prior to installation of pipes.
● Inspection of pipe laying, placement of granular surround and witnessing of hydro test for pipelines.
● Inspection of jacking of RC pipes for Micro Tunnelling for Storm Water Manholes.
● Inspection of Butt Fusion Welding for the connections of HDPE pipes and performs Deflection Test and Air Leak Test for GRP pipelines. Coordination with other disciplines to ensure the effectiveness of the execution of the works.
● Check cutting, bending and installation of re-bars and shuttering against conformity to project drawings and project standards for the construction of Air Valve Chambers, Micro Tunneling Shafts and Storm Water Manholes.
● Witness testing, sampling and placement of concrete for concrete surround protection for GRP, UPVC, HDPE and VC pipes, chambers, manholes and concrete duct banks for electrical and telecom cables.
● Inspect materials as applicable to ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specification requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at storage and construction sites.
● Record all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
● Maintain quality inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.

● Review & Approval of shop drawings for the project.
● Technical review & approval of materials.
● Guiding the Engineers & Inspectors to control the site works.
● Ensuring the design/construction to comply with relevant specifications and standards.
● Coordination with other disciplines to ensure the effectiveness of the execution of the works.
● Checking and finalizing the monthly interim certificate based on work execution in the site.
