• Instrumental in transforming IT Operations through- Digitization, Optimizing DevOps, Artificial intelligence, Robotics, Service Monitoring, Predictive Monitoring, Unification of L1 support, Operation as service, etc.

• Owned the end to end delivery of IT services (Plan, Build, Run) for all technology platforms.
• Proffered enterprise Infrastructure leadership, horizontally supported all sections under the department (customer system operation) which are working vertically (application systems).
• Dexterously managed robust IT landscape/ infrastructure: 25+ mission critical DBs including some with size more than 50TB.
• Efficaciously administered OS for more than 400 servers. Efficaciously met emerging and changing business requirements in term of capacity, performance and disaster recovery with proper balance between service availability and cost.
• QA Team Leader, developing a strategic plan and road-map to address the infrastructure readiness of the organization. Endeavored to attain highest quality of services for all mission critical telecom services under department - provisioning, roaming and packages, Sadad process, finger print and MNP, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commanding all initiatives under department, developing and implementing the technology strategy ensuring it enables the delivery of the vision, mission and outcomes of the STC.
• Managing, supporting and monitoring all Customer system databases, servers and infrastructure - CRM, Billing, Integration, Mediation, Provisioning, Interconnect, broadband, etc.
• Crafting a compelling long-term Quality Assurance vision, to ensure continuously improvement of customer Systems Performance, Processes and Operational KPIs.
• Proactively identifying issues that could impact customer/ revenue/ result and recommending improvements till their closure by coordinating with concerned teams.
• Build smart dashboards, empowered management/executives with essential business intelligence/ have full visibility for improved decision making.
• Managing, controlling and monitoring performance of managed services to meet and fulfil the STC expectations.
• Empowering/ building the capabilities of team across all areas - Oracle DBAs, OS Admins and Siebel admins, enabling them to find innovative solutions to challenges faced by world-class digital leader company, who has envisioned the digital transformation of the MENA region.
Accomplishments
• Hand-selected to establish/ refurbish a world class IT Infrastructure- crafted a robust, and stable IT landscape to underpin an exceptional customer and colleague experience.
• Team leader of DB/IS teams, managed challenging job of restructuring multiple DBA and OS teams and unify to one IS team. Led strategic reorientation to have better capabilities, enhanced availability of teams as well as better exchanging of knowledge among team members.
• Upgraded all Customer system databases to the latest version, ensured all environment are up to date. Elevated all databases to latest version of DB which is 12C and latest technology of db. And OS to version 11.
• Built archiving solution to reduce production size and keeping unnecessary data that need not be retained on the production to be on archiving servers.
• Installed and configured latest version of Oracle Enterprise Manager cloud control 12c, CSO databases, servers and oracle applications are managed and monitoring by centralized tool (OEM 12C).
• Advised on emerging technological trends and state-of-the-art solutions, thereby benefiting from enhanced capability to have consolidated tool which can manage, administrate and monitor all oracle components including DB, OS, application servers as well as the integration with our centralized monitoring tool (EMC).
Key Responsibilities:
• Headed the Infrastructure teams (Database, OS and Siebel administrators) as well as Managed services teams.
• Developed technology infrastructure blueprints and create a set of actionable plans to reach the desired future state, ensured that they are updated to reflect the requirements of Saudi Telecom Company.
• Dexterously managed most critical databases in the STC - CRM, Billing and integration, etc.
• Drove innovative growth through the exploration, development and leveraging of new platforms and technologies.

Accomplishments
• Technical ownership over the delivery of key projects - successfully administered 50+ Oracle and MSSQL databases on multiple OS.
• Partnered with Application Development team to develop database architectures, coding and quality assurance policies & procedures.
• Nurtured a culture of continuous improvement, refurbished redundant systems, policies & procedures for enhanced disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.

Accomplishments
• Effectively drove growth and development of big data. Implemented production databases, developed/upgraded 100+ databases on UNIX servers and RAC (Real Application Cluster) environment.
• Successfully migrated 12+ databases from development environment to the production environment in the same platform (HP-UX).
• Efficiently migrated more than 10 databases to new platform (from AIX to HP-UX) and converted some from stand-alone to RAC database.
• Played a pivotal role in building IT infrastructure from the scratch. Bestowed with Certificate of Thanks for contributing to the foundation of the bank.
• Instrumental in obtaining Payment Card Industry (PCI) Certificate, the first bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for successful implementation of process for protection of credit cards information and transactions.
