KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work cross functionally to identify and build best practices and process improvements
Implementing 5S in warehouse
Planning, directing and delivering training and development programmes including staff inductions, to accomplish the organization’s goals.
Taine new employees
Regularly checking alarm systems to ensure they are working properly.
Continuously improve warehouse operations.
Improving Safety aspects
Improving the Quality of Works
Advising managers on how to minimize or eliminate risks and hazards
Design, improve, deploy and monitor procedures of the process
Educating new employees on the company’s emergency evacuation procedures in the event of any emergency
This position is engaged to supervise work in a number of key areas within the distribution team. As such the duties will vary slightly depending on the unit in which the incumbent is delegated to work at any one time. The key functions of the distribution centre are to dispatch, receiving and general duties associated with inventory control. As such, the core responsibilities are to ensure that all orders are dispatched in a timely and cost effective manner, to correctly receive inventory into the distribution centre and to maintain the physical inventory. The Team Leader will be required to oversee staff within their work area to ensure they are performing their duties in accordance within company standards and policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using ERP to monitor stock control
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to report and analyze data.
Using electronic inventory tracking to scan stock and reconcile inventory.
Managing a team of up to Eleven employees within the warehouse
Presenting written reports and analyses to senior managers.
Investigating customer complaints.
Understanding and following work rules and procedures.
Daily reporting of excess and ageing stock.
Resolve discrepancies in the slip inventory, Received items list and packing quantity records on daily basis
Weekly different inventory reports submission to Head Office e.g. near expiry items, expired items, damage inventory and slow moving inventory.
Managing all processes and functions within a busy warehouse (High Value Zone)
Manage order selection, pick and pack operations and Radio Frequency scanning to consistently meet order deadlines
Managing a team of up to six employees within the warehouse
Coordinating racking and storing
Maintaining high standards of items handling
Responsible for the warehouse security and accountability.
Ensuring stock levels are managed and controlled effectively
Using ERP to monitor stock control
Reporting incidents and performance reports for senior managers
Scheduling work & to meet fluctuations in staffing levels & workloads
Ensuring products are stocked correctly and safely
Facilitating effective communication within the team and across the site
Working with Managers to improve staff performance
Complying with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filling and shipping customer orders.
Satisfying internal shipping requirements and ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation
Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances.
Monthly different inventory reports submission to Head Office e.g. near expiry items, expired items, damage inventory and slow moving inventory.
Secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems
Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
