• Technical specifications and interpretation of drawing.
• Study/aware of the IFC drawings, conditions of contract, project specification, tender document.
• Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software for preparing diagram & equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
• Take off actual quantities & submit MR to HO through Construction manager / Project Manager.
• Negotiating with suppliers and purchase items at optimum cost.
• Attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients.
• Installation work to be executed as per the approved shop drawings/material and also used the approved method statement and complying with local authority regulations.
• Execution of works to follow approved QA/QC procedures, Method statements & the Fire/safety procedures.
• Site installation works are to be inspected and approved by the Consultant as out lined in our PQP (Project Quality Plan) in coordination with QA/QC engineers at site.
• Coordinate with the subcontractor’s work.
• Report the work progress to the Senior Engineer for timely submission to Project Manager.
• All installations are to be coordinated with other services.
• Testing / commissioning of all electrical works.
• Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
• Project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
• Identifying customer requirements, making models and prototypes of products.
• Using computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Attending meetings on site.
• Preparation of Electrical procedures for installation test & commissioning.
• Reading electrical design specifications and technical drawings.
• Organizing routine servicing schedules.
• Making sure all electrical engineering projects are fit for purpose.
• Liaising with and monitoring third party contractors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and purchase items at optimum cost.
• Attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients.
Principles and practices of electrical generation, electrical transmission & distribution, power control systems, power electronics, engineering design, construction, project development, planning and organization, budget monitoring and cost control.
