Training, monitoring & supervising sales supervisors and floor staff, including suppliers' merchandisers for better product merchandising. Sold items replenishments follow up, resulting in improvement of sales.
Initiating Mark-downs and promo planning on weekly basis.
Ensuring damages, write offs and markdowns are dealt with in accordance with company procedure.
Maintaining the correct procedures for expiry date monitoring, documentation and action.
Ensuring expired or damaged stock is returned to the vendor where appropriate, and a credit note is obtained.
Making sure all price amendments are action correctly.
Ensuring all service orders are raised and processed correctly.
Ensuring refrigeration checks are carried out and recorded at the correct interval each day.
Inspection of all fresh food departments at the start of the day with regard to quality standards and expiry control.
To monitor the maintenance status of the store and raise work orders for repairs where appropriate.
To inspect cleaning standards on a daily basis.
To inspect fire extinguishers and all other safety equipment daily.
To maintain all matters relating to health and safety.
