Development of iPhone and Android applications and proof-of-concepts.
Developing VOIP solution in Linux environment using FreeSWITCH software. That was including development of custom plugins, libraries, and creating associated services.
Developing REST services related to IVR (Interactive Voice Response), ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and TTS (Text to Speech) technologies. These services were working as wrapper and merged interface for
multiple ASR and TTS engines.
Major Achievements at Innuva:
- SM Services which are a collection of online web services for providing ASR, TTS, translation and email.
- Roband TV which is an iPhone client application for some media content provider (Application is currently published to AppStore and available here http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/roband-tv/id385272448?mt=8)
- Mobilique which is an Android application for automatically switching between GSM network and SIP (VOIP) network enabling user to do calls through SIP network through Wi-Fi networks where GSM signal is weak or unavailable.
- SIP Client application for iPhone based on pj-sip library (a linux sip library ported to iPhone platform)
Developing "Saytar" iPhone and iPad applications for Etisalat (Egyptian Mobile Operator).

I was working with a team of developers to develop embedded linux solutions. Position involved deep Linux and Linux Kernel customization, cross-compiling and porting of Linux libraries and applications to other platforms.
Major Achievements at ConnectMeTV:
- Porting the Engima software (of Dreambox satellite receiver) to ConnectMeTV Lyngbox satellite receiver http://www.connectmetv.com
- Building a set of .ebuilds (Gentoo Linux packages format) for gstreamer (Set of packages for processing audio and video) that is automatically built from source repository for usage by developers.
At BirdICT, I was working with a team of developers to develop Linux applications, Bluetooth advertising software and hardware. I was also working on developing Symbian mobile applications.
Major Achievements at BirdICT:
- Developing Bluetooth marketing software. This included the development of a customized Linux distribution, a live CD builder web application and a Windows desktop application. All were targeting Bluetooth marketing. For more information about all the project, please check http://www.goiblue.com

Gawab.com was on of the largest world email service providers both free and hosted email service before the Launch of Gmail.com email service.
During this period at Gawab.com, I was part of online server administration team. I was mainly responsible for managing, tuning and monitoring MySQL servers and replications.
Major Achievements at Gawab.com as Database and LDAP Administrator:
- Migration from MySQL 4.2 to MySQL 5.
- Developing required libraries for migration from MySQL authentication to LDAP based authentication for Fedora Directory Services.
During my work as web developer then senior web developer at Gawab.com, I was mainly involved in developing http://www.gawab.com (no longer online) and http://www.gawab.net company web sites.
I was also involved in the development of the new Ajax Webmail application.
At this time at Gawab.com, I was first introduced to PHP. I was also introduced to web development optimization and related technologies like Ajax, HTML, CSS and Javascript.Gawab.com. I was first introduced to Linux platform and I had decided to enrich my knowledge in Linux that I have managed to do during my next years in my career.
