Major Projects: Doha Airbase Redevelopment (BUP: 197K m2, 91 buildings, infra. utilities), Dukhan Airbase (BUP: 217K m2, 130 buildings, infra. utilities), Al Udeid expansion, Al Sadd Hotel Apartment (2B+G+5, peer review), HIA expansion (Hotel & lounge)
• Performed mechanical design consultant tasks for multi-billion-dollar landmark projects with over 231 buildings with a combined BUP of 414, 000 m2 including aircraft hangars, fuel farms, high hazard warehouses, tunnels, substations etc.
• Developed concept and detail design drawings, reports, and calculations for different types of Fire protection systems (wet, dry, deluge, foam, clean agent, etc.) as per code requirements.
• Created plumbing system design drawings and performed booster pump and tank sizing calculations.
• Performed Smoke control engineering and created mechanical ventilation system drawings
• Analyzed CFD reports prepared by third party specialists to validate proposed smoke control design.
• Designed a series of 7 foul sewer pumping stations in accordance with PWA (Ashghal) guidelines for various inflow rates.
• Designed multiple fire and domestic water infrastructure networks, with centralized pump room and water reservoirs.
• Used hydraulic calculation software to simulate multiple flow conditions in the infra. Network and determined critical scenario with largest pressure loss to size pumps and storage tanks.
• Prepared and obtained QCD approvals for 231 FF and MV design packages in a span of 2 years.
• Prepared and issued markups for spatial coordination to arch. and structural departments to develop base plans.
• Performed peer reviews of FF and MV design packages received from external consultants and contractors.
• Established efficient communication with clients and contractors to overcome various Mechanical design challenges, RFIs, change requests, equipment selections etc.
Project: Mannai Head Quarters, Industrial Area
• Performed site inspections to supervise Firefighting pipes and fittings installations, claddings, fire doors etc.
• Designed Conceptual Layouts and schematics of Fire Fighting Systems
• Prepared fire protection design reports and hydraulic calculations
• Actively coordinated with various departments to avoid design conflicts in the initial stages itself
