Network Management & System Administration Installing, configuring and maintaining LAN, WAN, Proxy Server, Active Directory and GPO. Monitoring connectivity with Windows, driver installation all types of hardware, NIC, SCSI cards, RAID cards, etc. Data Centre Management Monitoring and Managing the Server/Network Devices Health Check in NOC using the Foglight, Microsoft SCOM and OPManager. Managing and maintaining HP, IBM and Dell Servers. Managing and maintaining HP Proliant Blade systems. Managing storage array in the blade system. Managing the application server, monitoring day-to-day server performance. Backup and restore and creating image using Symantec Backup Exec 2010, etc Involved Sscheduling & performing Backup / Restoration; ensuring scheduled/unscheduled Backups as per backup plan and restoration. Installing security products like MS Threat Management Gateway 2010, MailMarshal and GFI Mail Essentials for Exchange. Manage SAN Storage IT Infrastructure Management Maintaining updated documentation for current hardware / software configurations and also for proposed future installations & modifications to the current environment. Designing & implementing IT infrastructure for clients; creating new domain. Promoting and demoting Domain Controller. AD Group, Users and other objects management Group Policy creation and management Setting of data centre entailing configuration of File Server/ Mail Server. Installing Managing and configuring applications like MS SharePoint 2010, Citrix XenApp, MS AX Dynamics, Avaya IP Office, Papercut Print Managent. Technical Support / Troubleshooting Troubleshooting problems pertaining to File Server, Mail Server, Workstation, System Performance, Network Administration, and Application Conflicts & System Bugs. Managing troubleshooting of Hardware, OS and Network using utilities like event viewer, registry editor etc.; involved in problem diagnosis of hard disks, CPUs, motherboards, cards, printers, monitors, removable drives, hubs, switches, etc. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary. Exchange Server Managing Information Store (Creating Storage Groups, Mailbox Stores, Setting Storage limits), Creating Public folders, Recipient Policies, Address Lists etc Managing Exchange Server using Global Settings, System Policies and Monitoring (Queues, System resources) Creating Administrative Groups, Securing Exchange Server, Recovering, Backing up and Restoring exchange, Configuring Routing Groups etc. Exchange Transport Rule Managing and Recipient Management. Monitoring Spam Mails are spoofs using MailMarshal and GFI Mail Essentials. Other Responsibilities Support Enterprise Architecture tasks to document existing HW/SW configurations, identify future HW/SW configurations, and plan/execute the transition. Coordinating IT maintenance and upgrade activities for local workstations and servers. Research next generation IT equipment and software and provide recommendations for future configurations/purchases. Document and revise IT and Systems SOPs Maintain and/or coordinate maintenance of all office IT related equipment. Support the Service Desk with the inventory and location of IT assets. Conduct periodic mentoring trainings for new joiners and Junior Engineers. Participate in IT Projects / Implementations.
