Duration : November 2011 to June 2013 Position : Project Engineer-HVAC Field of Work : Engineering & On Site Department-HVAC Projects : Biocon Bio Pharmaceuticals Place of Work : Bangalore, India Work Description: Engineering/Technical/Project Management: Preparation of Tender Documents based on Site visits and Site Requirements. Preparation of Bill of Quantities. Estimating the cost required to complete the project and submitting the quote to the client. Reviewing the design and preparation of planning report which includes actual cost of the project. To lead technical ofice team in Engineering activities like Review of Design Drawings, Shop Drawings as per ASHRAE, NFPA Standards. Reviewing of Submittal based on Specification and Standards and submitting it for Approval. Preparation of Method Statements Related to HVAC, reviewing it and submitting it for Approval. Highlighting technical issue or execution issue in terms of Raising RFI's. Communicating with consultant during the time of approvals. Attending and Communicating with Stakeholders during the ongoing and pre start of project. Instructing Draughtsman to Prepare Shop Drawing, Reviewing the Prepared Drawings and Submitting the Drawings for Approval. Calculating External Static Pressure calculation for Air Handling Units, Fresh Air Units, Fan Coil Units, Ventilation Fans and submitting the Same for Consultant approval. Calculating Pump Head Calculation for Chilled Water Pumps, Sewage, Sump and Domestic Water Pumps. Calculating Flow Calculation for Domestic Water Piping. Site/Procurement/Safety: To prepare site requisition and to send the requisition to purchase department. Ordering materials from the suppliers and negotiating with them for the price. Arranging the materials for execution based on Area clearance and shop drawings. To take up quantities of Materials and Equipment's related to HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting. Follow up with site sub-contractors related to work. Certifying the invoices of Contractors based on executed works. Co-ordination with the Site Supervision consultant at the time of Inspection. To check approved Shop Drawings and Co-ordination Drawings before Handing over for Execution. Look after site activities like Installation of Air Handling Units, Ventilation Fans, Ducting, Chilled Water Piping, Chiller, Pumps, Air Separator, Chemical Dosing. To Execute Underground Utilities Such as Pre-Insulated Chilled Water Pipes, Storm Water Pipes, Sewage Pipes, HDPE Fire Fighting Pipes.
