The repair and maintenance of hand held and base stations are carried out by using MARCONI RADIO COMMUNICATION TEST SET 2955B and Watt meter BIRD model 43 and frequency counter FLUK 8050A.
1) Preparation of tenders documents for fibre optic cable laying, termination and splicing in BSNL at Solapur, Gulbarga and Bijapur.
2) Completed several projects within city limits as well as highways in laying of Fiber optic cables, with splicing and terminations.
3) Managed teams of excavators of making ducts for fiber optic cable laying as per BSNL guidelines.
4) Knowledge of splicing and testing of fiber optic cables using ERICSON FSU 925 splicing machine, and testing the optical Fiber cable using OTDR EXFO FTB-100, and Optical power meter ST-800.
5) Installation and maintenance of VHF/UHF Repeaters at various projects.
6) Programming the repeaters Base stations & hand held radios according to assigned frequency and Power.

1) Repair and maintenance of Repeaters (Standard RPT-30, 180 Watts). Repair of repeater includes the calibration of duplexer according to Tx and Rx frequencies. Repair of driver cards, final amplifier cards, Rx module, and Tx modules. Adjusting sensitivity of Rx module, adjusting of tail timer and timer out timer of Tx module, adjustment of squelch control according to sensitivity.
2) Repair of Base Stations (Standard GX-1500) and Hand held radios (Standard HX-340, HX-341, HX-440 and HX-441). Repair of microprocessor card, EPROM stage, pre-amplifier and final amplifier stage, Tuning of frequency deviation, power, sensitivity and VCO.
3) Programming the hand held and mobile radio (i.e. TX frequency, Rx frequency, Tx tone, Rx tone, Tx timeout timer, Tx inhibit timer, busy lockout, emergency channel, Tx low power, battery save timer, CTCSS reverse burst and ANI), using computer and its standard interface.
4) Repair maintenance and configuration of ANI Decoders (ST-822), according to its compatible data and programming the ANI Encoders (ST-804 & ST-804) using computer and its interface.
5) Repair of 50Amp, 13.8Vdc power supplies (Astron). This power supply is used with repeaters. And repair of 10Amp, 13.8 VDC power supplies that are used with base stations.
6) Knowledge of calibration of frequency, frequency deviation, ctcss parameters, ANI codes, sensitivity of radio sets, power and reflection power of radios and repeaters using service monitor IFR-1500.
7) Supervising telephone technicians to keep trouble free PABX telephone system (Model: NEC-2400) of 230 extension lines, 10 PTT input lines.
8) Programming of ANI Decoders.
9) Setting all technical parameters of repeater like, modulation, sensitivity, timeout delay, tail timer and power.
10) Updating of drawings, MDF and IDFs.

8) Preparation of monthly material requirement and updating of telecommunication related documents.
9) Installed navigation equipments at KSRC, i.e. of Radar Scanners, Radar Display Unit, Navigators, Echo Sounders, VHF Transceivers, Wind direction Meters, Wind Speed Meters and gyrocompass.
