Project description: It is top of the barrel up-gradation of refinery by adding Naphtha Hydrotreator (NHT), Isomerization Unit, and Reformer Unit. Isomerization unit is intended to be geared up with deisopentanizer (DIP) and deisohexanizer (DIH) to achieve on spec gasoline. It is intended to use the available existing refinery columns, pumps, condensers and reboilers in DIP & DIH system.

EPRF-II Revamp Project (Residual Up-gradation), ENAR Petroleum Refining Facility-II (EPRF-II), Karachi (Pakistan)
Project description: The project was upgradation of reduced crude, by employing thermal cracking to maximize diesel yield. Vacuum distillation is implemented to recover slump diesel from reduced crude than wax is subject-ed to thermal cracking and cracked products are fractioned out in cracker fractionator. Cracked naphtha and cracked diesel are further required to pass through respective treatment units for product polishing.
ORC-II 165K CDU Revamp (Capacity Enhancement), Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited, Karachi (Pakistan)
Project description: Byco was intended to increase the capacity of ORC-II Refinery from 120, 000 BPSD to 165, 000 BPSD. An in-house conceptual study conducted by Byco, identified that an additional preheat train and a pre-flash column could fulfill the requirement. The additional equipment required for the project is being procured from a refinery elsewhere and need to be retrofitted to meet the revamp load. Byco acquired EEA to review and endorse in-house study, undertake FEED and Detailed Engineering of the project.
