Role- Electrical Discipline Engineer:
• Plans and prepares periodical preventative maintenance schedule at the beginning of each year and carries out duties mentioned therein in coordination with Production Operation Team.
• Leads and Supervises electrical section in maintenance related activities and ensures that maintenance practices are carried out in accordance with KOC accepted standard and industrial norms.
• Adept in executing the Predictive, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Motors (LT & HT), Transformers and tracing of cable faults.
• Capable of managing the Maintenance activities and failure analysis of Variable Frequency Drives.
• Conversant with Operation, Maintenance & troubleshooting VCB’s, Relay testing &setting (Motor protection relay Alstom/Areva/Micom series, Schneider MPR, GE Motor Manager, Solkor pilot wire protection), CT & PT testing, Primary and secondary injection.
• Proficient in executing the routine and breakdown maintenance activities of UPS(Gutor, Borri, Saft) and MOV(BIFFI, ROTORK, EIM)
• Plans and executes the weekly/monthly/half-yearly and yearly PM activities and breakdown activities of Diesel Generator with Automatic Changeover system and Turbine driven compressors (GE, ATLAS COPCO).
• Familiar with the Relay testing using OMICRON CMC-356 Secondary injection kit.
• Capable of ensuring the availability of proper lighting systems throughout the facility and operational areas.
• Expertise in ensuring the industrial and KOC standard practices in cables and cable routing systems.
• Uninterrupted monitoring of all electrical equipment thereby ensures improved machine Availability and Power System Integrity & Reliability.
• Organising resources, inventory control, time frames, coordinate & control for inspection
• Assist for technological up-grading of obsolete equipment, preparation & execution of Management of Change (MOCs) for modification in existing facilities.
• Prepares daily/weekly/monthly/ quarterly/ annual progress report in accordance with Companies guidelines and Team Leader’s directives.
• Develop and implement reporting systems and scorecards to identify ‘bad actors’ and shortfalls in equipment and system performance.
• Task Force Team member for the Facility Integrity Management System (FIMS).
• Acts as the site custodian of CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System) and manages the input, update, and clean-up of database and entry of new Projects Data, in close coordination with the respective Project Team Members
• Adept in developing and maintaining of Operational Risk Register, Enterprises and Environmental Risk Register.
• Perform other related duties such as attending planning group meetings, preparing presentation materials, Liaise with other groups, guiding and training, observing rise rules and regulations, promoting awareness of new technology in tile oil and gas industry, assisting fellow employees in the Group, ensuring adherence to HSE policies, rules and regulations, reporting potential hazards to HSE Team.

2- Local control panels (LCC) complete visual, internal wiring &loop check with the GIS equipments.
3- Contact Resistance measurement for all sections according o factory test.
4- Circuit Breakers Closing & Opening timing.
5- DC System complete commissioning.
6- Operation test for all GIS equipments (C.Bs, ESs&DSs) including the verification of all schematic diagram interlocking and associated alarms.


7-Complete commissioning for related protection system which includes:

A-Secondary injection to the following relays to verify the approved settings.
*MICOM P143 (Breaker Failure Relay).
*MICOM P632 (Under Ground cable Differential).
*MICOM P437 (Distance Relay Main 1).
*MICOM P444 (Distance Relay Main 2).
*MICOM P746 (Bus Bar Differential).
*MICOM P141 (Back up Over current).
B-Function checks to verify all schematic drawings (Close, Trip, Block &loop check).
C-CTs Stability test by primary injection (200Amp.)
D-VTs loop check by secondary injection (57.73 V) up to all protection relays &control devices (Bay control Panels).
