Homeroom Teacher

I taught private one to one and group lessons to foreign students. I taught students grammar, prepared them for their IELTS exam and helped them during their language courses. I also gave one to one lessons to foundation students and supported them so that they can build their confidence before they start their degrees.

My role was to teach Grades 2, 3 and 5 following the American curriculum. My lessons consist of grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening and projects. I carry out summative tests every month in order to evaluate students progress. I uploaded grades on a weekly basis. I taught grade 2, 3 and 5 English. I also taught grade 1 and 2 Social Studies.

I worked as an agent with World Study Solutions. My role was to help organise offers for international students within this job I am required to discuss what type of course the students are looking for and find the most suitable college or university for them. I need to ensure that I get all the documents needed in order to get an offer for the student.

My role was to guide visitors, parents and children around the school. During open days I was required to explain what facilities are available, answer questions and provide support.

My role was a teaching assistant in a year 3 class. I assisted in most of the activities with the children during class. I was required to do one to one reading with individuals. In this role I found that I was required to be patient and work well as part of a team. I was given responsibility of helping pupils who had learning difficulties; I gave them extra help with their reading and writing. I supported the teacher in organising the activities for children. When I left the placement I received very good feedback.
