Position: Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leads, plans and manages all engineering, project control, and scheduling activities.
• Monitors and works to ensure engineering progresses as scheduled. Ensures all
engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's
established policies and objectives.
• Works with specialist, Project Managers, and engineers to review engineering plans for
plant constructability, operability and maintainability.
• Collaborates with Construction Specialists and project engineers in monitoring construction
activities for compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and industry standards
• Works with QA/QC Manager to ensure contractor compliance of quality assurance and
quality control programs and to effectively implement non-conformance and deviation
control systems for on-site activities.
• Works with the Project Controls Manager to ensure compliance of the business control
processes for the project which may include schedule developments, cost estimates and
risk analysis
• Reviews and provides input on contractor payments and change order requests associated
with all activities.
• Provides input to weekly and monthly progress reports. Attends and participates in all key
project meetings.
• Assists in resolving or recommends resolutions to for contractual disputes between owner
and contractors.
• Collaborates with start-up engineers to facilitate start-up of the project and ensures efficient
turnover of plant to operations and maintenance staff.
• Coordinates project site engineering activities with the operations and maintenance staff
.
