Manage the financial operations activities of HBKU Press by: Developing and submitting the financial plan/budget, and managing resources within those budget guidelines; lead the creation of financial reports, including business activity reports and forecasts based on current trends, and review and maintain HBKU Press agreements/copyrights, to ensure compliance
Creating and reviewing financial models and projections, analyzing financial statements and reports and sharing findings with management, assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes and supporting functional leaders, ensuring compliance with financial reporting laws and regulations, and driving financial reporting and operating rhythm through development of KPIs and standardization of reporting.
Preparation, planning, and scheduling of the audit program and supervision of its proper execution; Review internal control systems to ascertain their adequacy and reliability and recommended improvements to client management; Examination of financial records in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Preparation of detailed audit reports on audit findings and recommendations for improvements in accounting and management practices; Inspecting the client’s compliance with contracts and its internal policies and procedures; Prepare and modify, as necessary, client financial statements including footnotes; Developing of management comments and preparation of management letter to be presented to the client’s audit committee and preparation of tax declarations for foreign established entities in the State of Qatar.
