Project Background
The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently implementing the “Labour Intensive Maintenance in Public Areas in Jordan Phase II: Public Schools” project, which is funded by the Government of Germany through KfW. The project aims at improving livelihoods, supporting the labour market and economy, and contributing to the social cohesion among communities impacted by the Syrian crisis in Jordan. The project will provide cash for work opportunities for vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees while focusing on women and youth.
The project will be implemented in six different Governorates; Irbid, Amman, Mafraq, Balqa’a, Ajloun, and Zarqa. And it also aims at providing maintenance and cleaning works for public schools in dire need, in order to support the Ministry of Education (MoE) in providing better learning environment to both Jordanians and Syrian students. The Cash for Work (CfW) component combined with on-the-training component for CfW volunteers, would contribute to long-term employment opportunities for Jordanians and Syrian refugees. The project activities will be executed by local contractors that UNOPS will select through open tenders

Main task :
Work as a Site Engineer for enviromentall Project.
Calculate the amounts and do BOQ.
Do Surveying Operations Using ( Level, .. )
Calculate Cut and Fill for the Project
Doing all engineering works According to ACI code.
Checking subcontractor's invoices and controlling variation.
Coordinate with consultant, main contractor and vendors.
Saved 10% on supply costs by working closely with suppliers to ensure components met Consultant requirements.
