Responsibilities
• Handling Project Abha, a 400-bed psychiatric hospital; structure designing and architectural assignment for the construction of 14 buildings and a service tunnel.
• Provide required technical advice and support to subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives at project sites.
• Supervise activities related to setting out, levelling and surveying of sites.
• Review plans, drawings and bills of quantities and ensure accuracy of calculations.
• Monitor works at site ensuring compliance with approved material specifications and method statements.
• Supervise and coordinate selection and requisition of materials and equipment for project execution.
• Prepare price estimates for materials and provide cost effective proposals and solution meeting project requirements.
• Ensure on time availability of contract design documents to be supplied by client or architect and support site teams in interpreting the documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and ensure achievement of project milestones.
• Liaise with local authorities to obtain required permissions and clearances. Ensure adherence to local construction regulations and by-laws.
• Interface with clients and client representatives - architects, engineers and surveyors -, participate in regular meetings and assist in resolving problems and issues.
• Manage day-to-day activities at site including supervision of jobs executed by company workforce and subcontractors.
• Plan, mobilize and ensure optimum utilization of plant and site facilities to achieve predefined deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all quality control and health and safety requirements across site activities.
• Participate in resolving emerging and unexpected technical problems and issues at site.
• Prepare and submit all prescribed progress and status reports.
