Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the company. Assists the Chairman and CEO in the aggressive and successful growth of the company.
• Develop the strategic sourcing plan to include country and vendor allocation targets by product category
• Ensures on-time customer deliveries by working across a multi-functional team to prioritize incoming deliveries and manage outgoing customer orders based on requested start ship date
• Work closely with appropriate sourcing team to ensure vendor delivery compliance including a root cause analysis on all late shipments
• Responsible for communication of KPI analysis and improvement plans as part of the monthly S&OP process
• Responsible for maintaining system integrity (demand & supply data) as well as updating appropriate "age" inventory according to seasonal calendar
• Actively manage vendor relationships through performance management on quantitative and qualitative metrics (KPI’s)
• Analyse "actual" versus "requested" supply plans, troubleshooting when they are not aligned
• Collaborate with demand & supply Chain Planning functions to ensure timing & accuracy of 12 month rolling forecasts
• Plan procurement to ensure product is purchased in the most cost efficient manner, optimizing inventory turns.
• Understand competition, macro-economic landscape and keep abreast with industry trends, trade regulations etc.
• Foster a culture & environment where associates are not just comfortable, but excited by the possibilities & opportunities that come with change.
• Roll up the post-Buy Plan hand-off details and map to the strategic sourcing plan
• Partner with heads of Design and Development to align on process, workflow, identify opportunities, and address issues
• Manage the Sourcing and Development Teams from the execution of fabric adoption until tech pack handover to ensure consistent quality of product, margin expectations and execution of the designer’s vision for the product
• Negotiate pricing, lead-times, MOQ and volume discounts with vendor partners
• Oversee vendor relationship with capacity planning to evaluate concentration risk by region, fabric class, volume, and product category
• Develop processes within the business to streamline product development and effectively communicate and implement those processes within the business
• Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
