Medium sized private enterprise for VIP gifts, corporate awards, mementos & giveaways operating since 17 years.
● Develop artwork with manufacturable designs in accordance with sales briefs while being mindful of material and technical constraints.
● Prepare collateral for in-house specialized production techniques viz. crystal cutting & joining, water jet machining, laser engraving & cutting, resin sculpting, metal & wood working, surface finishing, etc.
● Handle entire production for gift boxes: generating cutting die lines (for boxes, covers, trays out of board/foam & paper/lining), foiling & embossing blocks and printing files
● Design bespoke utility concepts such as lamps & furniture items.
● Model & render topologically sound & physically accurate 3D objects.
Developed design collateral i.e. logo, flyer & website design as well as initiated sales operations on a new sub-brand for Automobile Shipping, Moving & Storage solutions.
●Focused on transparency (information), clarity (procedure) and dependability (quality & punctuality) to assuage customer concerns.
Conceptualized, designed and executed a series of dining events and eating experiences in a variety of formats for small groups to public
gatherings, across age ranges.
● Drew from rituals and theater to re-interpret semantics around food into innovative & immersive experiences that turn audiences into participants and leave them with lasting memories of the same.
● Conducted 2 different workshops for students using food as a medium to understand architecture & urbanity.
● Collaborated with artist Mansi Bhatt for a progression of her performance into an edible experience.
● Created children's activities, team-building food games, immersive pop-ups & art installations.
Helped co-ordinate and conduct the institute chapter of the week long festival while i was completing my post-graduate education.
● In charge of all venue arrangements, screening facilitation as well as entrusted with true copies of the films and emceeing the event.
Underwent shop-floor training, for the role of Assistant Manager at the Passenger Car Business Unit, in 3 departments viz.
● Body Weld Shop: assisted engineers in maintaining operational fitness of new robotic weld line for Tata Vista.
● Quality Assurance - Trims & Fitment: analysed headlight to body parts fitment to assess causes for misalignment.
● Low Cost Automation: studied the possibility of assembling an in-house machine for gear testing.
After a foundation course on the basic tenets of design, i chose electives in Product Design and further on in Experiences Designing, finally completing my master thesis on Dining Experiences. CGPA: 9.32/10
The undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering has enabled a strong foundation which informs all my design sensibilities and led me to pursue product design as a creative outlet for my technical knowledge. CGPA: 8.39/10
Completed my high school at this 50+ years old institution after receiving primary education under the British Curriculum
