\{Over nineteen (19) years hands on experience in inspection (Mechanical /Piping/Welding/Painting/Coating/Insulation) & Quality Control in fabrication, installation and testing of process, power and utility piping work, pipeline work, pressure vessel and offshore steel structures like jacket, deck, bridge etc. in the field of oil and gas development, gas processing and refining, petrochemical construction & power plants work and plant inspection.
Main duties involved stage-wise inspection of piping, structural, storage tank and pressure vessels. Have experience & knowledge with codes like ASTM, ASME V, ASME IX, ASME B 31.3, ASME B 31.1, API-1104, API650, ASME VIII, AWS-D 1.1, ASME B31.4, ASME B 31.8, API 650, API 598 etc.
Attending construction progress meetings, quality meetings and kick off meetings, monitoring fabrication and erection activities of contractors as per the approved inspection and test plan (ITP), Saudi Aramco specification, applicable international codes, IFC drawings, method statements, various quality control procedures, etc. monitoring the repair rate, non-conformance, areas of concerns, advising corrective actions and ensuring project documentation and records. Review of piping test packs, preparation of the punch list, carry out pre-commissioning checks, witnessing flushing and pressure testing, and review of project dossiers and as built drawings.
Reviewing and monitoring of contractors QA/QC procedures, method statements and TPI reports. Monitor the various NDT activities/techniques being carried out on site, advice contractor during critical activities, or during the conflict of codes, specifications and give technical inputs. Surveillance and hold point stage wise inspection to avoid critical failure, identifying the non-compliance and proposing corrective and preventive action at the right stage.\}
Worked as Mechanical Engineer at QCCPP (Qurayyah Combined Cycle Power Plant - Project C)) at Qurayyah KSA. This project was for the conversion of open cycle gas turbines to combined cycle plant. The project consisted of 15 HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators). There were 5 Blocks (each with 3 Gas Turbine & 3HRSGs and 1 STG) for the production of approximately (260x5) = 1300MW.
Responsibilities:
• Inspection / Monitoring of welding of high pressure steam pipe work & pipe supports.
• Monitoring of preheat, PWHT and hardness testing of alloy steel joints such as P91 and P22 materials
• Inspection of fit-up & welding of Exhaust Stacks for the vertical and horizontal (circumferential) joints, checking the plumbness and roundness of the shells.
• Checking and Inspection of the modules of the boiler.
• Inspection of plant piping for the preparation of punch list before the hydrostatic / pneumatic tests.
• Review of Test Packages.
• Witnessing Hydrostatic test, pneumatic test and air flushing of pipes.
• Checking the elevation & orientation of the equipment such as LP, IP, HP and blow down drums.
• Surface Preparation and Painting inspection of piping joints, pipe supports, inlet duct, outlet duct, boiler casing.
• Inspection of insulation of inlet duct, outlet duct, boiler casing, drums and piping including liner plate installation / cladding.
• Review of different documents and method statements.
• Attending the site progress meetings.
