• Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of GRP, GRE, HDPE pipes & fittings as per ITP, Client specifications & approved drawings.
• Carry out all production testing like stiffness, tensile strength, hoop strength, degree of curing, Loss on ignition, Hydro test & Water absorption for GRP, GRE pipes & fittings as per ITP, Client specifications & applicable codes.
• Carry out qualification tests like 1000 Hrs survival test, Hydro static design basis (HDB) test, Strain corrosion test, Creep test, Short term hydraulic test & Impact test for GRP, GRE, pipes & fittings as per ITP, Client specifications & approved drawings.
• Carried out raw materials inspection for GRP, GRE, HDPE pipes & fittings as per ITP.
• Inspection report & release note issuing for the project inspection.
• Carried out tensile properties like Yield strength, Break Strength, Yield Elongation & Break Elongation for HDPE Smooth liner.
• Carried out tear resistance, puncture resistance, carbon black content for HDPE Smooth liner.
• Carried out Co efficient of friction test, Kink test, Melt flow index (MFI), Density, Crush test, Impact test & Bend test for HDPE Ducts.
• Witnessing Hydro tests for Wireline Valve, Wellhead Flange Adaptor, Lubricator, Crossover, Pump-In-Sub, Test Cap, Tool Trap Tool Catcher, Ball Check Valve, Grease Injection Head, Stuffing Box and Chemical Injection Sub as per API 6A & API 5CT.
• Witnessing Stiffness test (ASTM D 2412), Compression test (ASTM D 695), Tensile test (ASTM D 638) for GRP Panels.
• Witnessing Short Term Flexural Modulus (ASTM D 790) for GRP Panels.
• Witnessing Density (ASTM D 1622), Compressive Strength test (ASTM D 1621), Closed Cell Content (ASTM D 6226), Thermal Conductivity Test (ASTM C 518), Water Absorption test (BS EN 253) for Poly iso cyanurate and Polyurethane foam materials.
• Witnessing Leak test (ASTM D 3299) for GRP Tanks.
• Witnessing Static Load Testing, Dynamic Load Testing, Flexure Strength Testing, Corner Drop testing and Load Slippage testing for Plastic Pallets.
• Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection, Packing Inspection as per client ITP, Drawings, Standards and Data sheets.
• Preparing Inspection reports and Release notes for the inspection carried out.
• Have performed inspections for clients (such as Hoyer, Airliquide, Linde Helium, Sharjah Oxygen, GE Seaco, Eurotainer, National Gas Company Oman, Iwatani, etc.) and various depots.
• Review of tank survey reports before issuance to clients and performance of Statutory
• (Periodic) and Non-statutory inspections of IMO 1, 2, 5, 7 and UN T1 to T22, T50 & T75 portable tanks intended for the transport of dangerous goods.
• Statutory inspections include inspection of tank shell (Stainless steel or Carbon steel), welds, service and safety equipment, thickness gauging (in case of shell thickness reduction due to corrosion)
• Witnessing hydrostatic testing for 5 year periodic test and pneumatic testing for 2.5 year periodic test.
• Checking the safety equipment such as relief valves, burst discs, etc. Verification of tank data-plate and issuance of certificates.
• Inspection of tank frames and dry freight containers (ISO containers) as per CSC guidelines.
• Witnessing the mechanical testing E.g Charpy V, Tensile test, Fracture test, Macro Examination, Hardness test, Bend test and Chemical testing as per applicable codes and material specification.
Perform Qualification Tests:
• Organize and undertake the product qualification tests (Hydrostatic design basis (HDB) test, Strain corrosion test, Survival test, Short term failure test, Hoop tensile modulus (HTM), Tensile Elastic limit (TEL) test, as instructed by QC Engineer.
• Assist QC Engineer to conduct the product qualification tests and prepare the required reports as per the international standards.
Maintaining Calibration Records:
• Maintain and updating the calibration records for all the measuring instruments and testing machines.
• Conducting calibration of pressure gauges/Transducer using Dead Weight Tester.
Preparation of Documents:
• Review the quotation inquiries along with the technical comments regarding the project and prepare Inspection & Test plan (ITP), Inspection & Test Procedures, Quality control plan (QCP)
Direction of Subordinates:
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinate to ensure that all work with a specific area of QC activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally complaint manner.
Policies & Procedures:
• Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that the work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Verify Production Quality:
• Undertake checks on daily routine tests(Stiffness, Hoop tensile strength, Axial tensile strength, Loss on Ignition test) to ensure the quality of pipes
Organize Third Party Inspection:
• Co-ordinate the third party inspection in order to ensure on time deliveries
• Assist the QC Engineer to carry out the third party inspection and prepare the required documentation.
Deputize for the QC Engineer:
• As required deputize for the QC Engineer in order to ensure the work progress.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
• Ensure that all relevant safety, Quality and environmental procedures, instructions and control are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
• Inspection and testing of all incoming raw materials.
• Preparation and control of raw material test reports.
• Monitor the effective of production quality control activities on a day to day basis and for initiating procedures for the control of the Non conformity products.
• Assist QC Engineer in conducting and monitoring qualification tests.
• Assist QC Engineer in documentation of inspection and test results.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Detailed knowledge of fiberglass Raw material, Manufacturing processes and product QC Procedures.
• Detailed knowledge of company products and raw materials.
• Detailed knowledge of the quality manuals.
• Detailed knowledge on International standards related the product items.
• Testing of Raw materials like PVC resin and chemicals like Amijol Dioctylphthalate
(Physical and chemical Testing)
• Testing of PVC compounds (Physical and Chemical Testing)
• Preparation of certificate of Analysis for the finished good product.
