• Receiving suppliers’ invoices assign correct codes batch them and post them and into the system after they are reviewed by the director.
• Conduct monthly stock count and reconcile the accounting period.
• Post income receipts bank transactions and suppliers’ invoices on Tally prime accounting software.
• Record all transfers received by the company through the bank.
• Overseeing proper recording of debtors and creditors and ensure the reconciliation of their balances.
• Accurately updates cashbook and prepares bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Contact clients about invoices that are past due.
• Ensuring the monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Promptly obtain new tax guidelines for each year from the income tax department or whenever tax changes are announced to ensure that deductions are correct and are paid in timely manner at all times.
• Provide necessary information / documents required by auditors from time to time.
• Send monthly client statements and follow up on cheque payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.
