o My primary role of the job includes Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand forecasting, production planning, strategic procurement, warehouse management, and logistics coordination. Manage the Shalimar 06Bn portfolio, encompassing 25+ SKUs, with a focus on integrated supply and demand planning for raw materials and finished goods, including managing import operations for the group.
o Supervise and mentor a team of six professionals responsible for demand planning, supply planning, strategic sourcing (raw materials, packaging, imports, technical, and general procurement), new product development, inventory management, and logistics execution across Pakistan.
o Implement advanced materials requirement planning (MRP) and demand forecasting techniques to ensure optimal inventory levels, avoiding both excess stock and stock outs, based on a six-month rolling forecast and a one-month fixed order cycle.
o Execute strategic sourcing and procurement for Hilal and Shalimar Foods, with close monitoring of market trends, regulatory changes, and agricultural cycles for commodities to ensure cost-effective procurement and risk mitigation.
o Manage the end-to-end import process for the Hilal Group, including financial transactions, customs clearance, and freight forwarding, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
o Oversee the procurement and strategic sourcing of raw and packaging materials for all SKUs, including the development of new products and packaging solutions. Identify and negotiate with alternate suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply risks, leveraging hedging and anticipation strategies and inventory planning.
o Regularly executing and conducting (sales & operations planning) S&OP, (Distribution requirement plan) DRP, (Demand review meeting) DRM, (sales review meeting) SRM and (material review meeting) MRM meetings for balancing the demand & supply gap.
o Management & regular monitoring with analysis of inventories to avoid dead stocks, obsolescence nationwide and ensuring synchronization across all supply chain echelons.
o Ensure the maintenance of Minimum Stock Levels (MSL) for all active SKUs across distribution centers, ensuring a minimum of 30 days of inventory through efficient logistics and full container load (FCL) shipments to eight distribution centers across Pakistan.
o Oversee warehousing, transportation, inbound and outbound logistics, and national distribution operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery solutions. Maintain optimal inventory levels and promote efficient distribution practices.
o Lead the operations team in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating risks and seizing opportunities to enhance business performance and resilience.
o My primary role of the job includes managing international procurement of raw materials, excipients, finished goods, packaging, machinery, and spares, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.
o Handling spends of 3.5bn PKR with 5% of cost saving based on avoidance, negotiation, market trends and historical records. Purchase ordering and comparative approvals by calculating landed cost of imports vs budget.
o End to end import & export import procurement, from the best of negotiation on payment terms, delivery terms, amount, timelines and follow-ups till the material successfully received and cleared from the Karachi Air/Seaport.
o Monthly reporting (Spend analysis through country/material/supplier/, PPV-KPI, Cost savings, OTIF, Open PO+PR, Backorders analysis, Consolidating Common materials for MD group shipments to achieve Economies in shipment and ordering.
o Facilitating timely opening of the financial instruments with banks and providing correct documentation, budget, and business allocations with banks. Proofing all documents for minimizing discrepancy.
o Achieve duty benefits at each shipment described by custom tariff declaring the goods on correct HS-codes and using trade blocks.
o Sourcing and development of new supplier mitigating risk based on the location and prices and its necessary approval after due diligence with the help of QC/QA, compliance and regulatory making sure the supplier meets the DRAP regulation and terms.
o CAPA and deviation forms initiation in case of any change in process/material specifications and conditional approvals to meet production targets, ensuring the deviation will not hit the quality and efficacy of the product.
o Reducing the lead times and MOQs collaborating with the suppliers to avoid inventory holding cost and ordering cost and reduce inventory obsolescence. (Optimal inventory levels)
o Prioritizing and expediting shipment by regularly reviewing the current inventory coverage. Setting up the best re-ordering points and buffer inventories with respect to the lead-time to avoid stock-outs.
o Central procurement of up to 05 remote locations. OPEX and CAPEX projects and daily requirement to maintain smooth processes from local and foreign sources on most competitive techno-commercial terms.
o Managing the expense of 2 bn PKR for the consumables, MRO, general and administrative expenses, commodity buying, repair maintenance and general services, contracts/SLAs, spares technical buying (mechanical electrical and plumbing), QC instruments & chemicals, NPD, material handling Equipments, tertiary packaging material etc for all the areas.
o Techno-commercial comparisons through the help of ITT, RFQ, RFP and RFI to present & analyze proposals or project.
o Handling the CAPEX of around 1.5bn every year for capacity extension projects (from initiated URS to consultant to vendor selection till commissioning). Erection, commissioning, and successful installation of every assigned project, leading from the procurement including SAT-FAT of new technologies.
o Analyzing the Total cost of ownership TCO, reservation value of goods, apply Kearney’s sourcing strategies, Kraljics matrix, spend Pareto analysis, cost-value analysis, calculating ROIs, visualizing, and surveying market trend to create values and finding best cost saving opportunities.
o Ensuring that all the materials conform to standard quality of work and are procured at most competitive prices.
o Supply planning as per contract management and tendering for the forecasted consumption frequency, store and inventory management of MRO based on ABC evaluation technique, CRP and QRP, and bundling of orders.
o Approved vendor yearly evaluation, grading, audits, due-diligence and certifications to find, rectify & highlight the organization’s best sources for long-term partnering and strategy for development of key categories.
o Saving targets of 4% yearly using SAP MM module S4HANNA.
o My primary role of the job includes typical to strategic local procurement of all indirect categories.
o Complete Plant procurement local. OPEX and CAPEX projects and consumables to maintain smooth processes from local sources on best techno-commercial terms.
o Managing the expense of 600-800mn PKR FY for the daily consumables, MRO, general and administrative expenses, commodity buying, repair maintenance and general services, contracts, spares technical buying (mechanical electrical), QC instruments & chemicals, material handling Equipments, packaging material, promotions etc.
o Efficiently handling the complete Procure-to-pay (requisite to payment cycle) within the stipulated timelines from trusted, certified & evaluated sources.
o Effective cross communication from user to stakeholders to vendor for timely execution and smooth flow of operations.
o Sourcing the most affordable and approved material for the company’s manufacturing processes.
o Ensuring that all the material conform standard quality of work and are procured at most competitive prices as per the budgeted prices.

My primary role of the job includes the management of Direct and indirect supply chain local procurement from existing market, local development of vendors, quality improvement in defects and costing of new plus revision of pre-developed parts.
Responsible for managing parts procurement following optimized P2P to sustain uninterrupted production flow aligned with JIT principles, overseeing the entire supply chain from supplier management to plant delivery. This involves optimizing operations with a focus on inventory space, packing standards, and MOQs to ensure efficient logistics. My responsibilities also include issuing and monitoring purchase orders, resolving vendor challenges, overseeing invoice processing for timely payments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes. I conduct regular cycle inventory counts and physical audits to enhance material consumption accuracy and optimize inventory management utilized VMI. Additionally, I lead initiatives in costing and reduction for raw material procurement and new part localization, ensuring alignment with global market dynamics.
