Teaching students basic principal and practical knowledge on Design and Visual Communication. This involves using the softwares of Autocad and Archicad as well as manual drawings.
I have been working as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, in the Faculty of Science, in the Islamic National University (UIN), in the city of Makassar. Course that I have taught are class on the subject of urban design and theory, sustainability, environmental studies, and Islamic art and architecture.
In 2008, I received a scholarship grant from the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Program for my Masters Degree in the field Urban and Environmental Planning. I completed my Masters program with a capstone project which at the time was a project related to designing and creating guidelines for Mix-Used planning developments in the city of Gilbert, Arizona. This was a breakthrough plan especially for the city of Gilbert whose previous town planning character was heavily a result of sprawl and low density design as with many cities in the United States.
I completed my BS in Architecture. My project at the time was designing an airport terminal for the city of Makassar. It was interesting for me to work on this project as it needed a comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter and everything else related to airports. The project indeed strengthened my researched capacity.
