Executive General Manager Reporting to the board of ChampionX Joint Venture, leading and managing P&L and business growth of the local oil field chemical manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.
Duties include the following:
1. Issue agenda and announcements for all official Section meetings.
2. Take and maintain minutes of all Section Executive Board meetings.
3. Maintain records of monthly meeting programs and agendas.
4. Correspond with Society, district, and Section officers, ISA, and with other individuals and groups as may be necessary.
5. Maintain Section membership list.
6. Safeguard legal documents such as the Section Charter, Bylaws, corporate seal, contracts, etc.
7. Serve as parliamentarian.
8. Assist the president and Executive Board in other duties as necessary.
Reporting to the president of Strategy and Development and responsible for overall strategy and business development of Wood engineering and project consultancy business in KSA and Bahrain. Responsible for the setting strategy of business growth in the industry sectors of Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream) as well as manufacturing industries. The role include intensive collaboration across Wood global business as well as managing strategic accounts stakeholders executive and engagement. Leading bidding and commercial team, CRM, sales and forecasting management as well as business and budgeting plan.
Leading the global strategic accounts for Saudi Aramco and SABIC. This include development, planning and management of all accounts strategy and growth, overall P&L, business improvement, investment development, sales and cross selling strategy, executive relationship and. This also include forming and managing strategic relationship management framework “SRM” with customer senior executives.
Major Achievements:
- Sustained and renewed Saudi Aramco engineering framework covering Saudi Aramco global facilities. Revenue generated value circa of 80 Million USD / annum.
- Negotiated and Secured consultation and engineering for Saudi Aramco through LSTK/EPC contractors. Revenue generated value circa of 30 Million USD / Annum.
- Negotiated and Secured long term global framework blanket agreement with SABIC to execute Front End Engineering Design for SABIC mega project and program globally. This resulted in business growth of overall business. That generated revenue value circa of 100 Million USD throughout Wood global business.
- Secured long term engineering and drafting alliance which cover engineering work for all SABIC affiliates in kingdom.
- Established and developed the global Account Management process and the core team for Saudi Aramco and SABIC within Wood globally since 2017
I have been in international assignment and Stationed in South Korea along with the EPC contractor office to manage grass root and revamp projects for several petrochemical affiliates within SABIC. Projects values range from 100 Million USD and above. This include engagement and collaboration with Sabic overseas office in Korea and Asia offices as well as Sadara JV team (Dow & Saudi Aramco). Job nature include frequent international travels to north America and Europe to source out the require vendors and services needed for project execution.
SADARA Oxygen & Nitrogen Supply Project:
Project scope is to feed SADARA petrochemical complex with Nitrogen and Oxygen from SABIC - GAS affiliate. This include engineering, procurement and construction of new ASU, high pressure compressors, cryogenic vaporizers, high voltage substation and rack rooms, process control system and building, custody metering station and 16 KM pipelines from Jubail-1 to Jubail-2 and other processing units and custody metering stations at SADARA end.
- Leading project development which includes feasibility study and economic, front end engineering, project risk analysis, HSE review, technology assessment and selection, organization charter, and project execution plan.
- Managed overall EPC contractors and subcontractors and leader of multi groups of owner engineers and team (PMT) during the execution phase of detail engineering, procurement and construction at contractor office overseas and construction site.
- Managing several stakeholders and interfaces among several parties (Royal commission Jubail, GAS affiliate, SADARA, SEC, Marafiq, EPC contractors).
- Controlling owner project costing, invoicing and execution schedule.
Lead project engineer responsible for project development, feasibility study, conceptual design, investment economic, front engineering and execution for Saudi Aramco onshore and offshore facilities projects. These include multi grass root and brown field investments within different geographic location of Saudi Aramco facilities. CAPEX value of these projects are falling in the range of 5 million USD - 100 Million USD. This also include management of global team, vendors, inspectors for the required supply chain and logistics of each project.
I have been in international assignment with Aramco Overseas Company and based along with the EPC office and leading project execution scope for expanding formation water treatment and injection systems of the biggest onshore gas oil separation facility located in in Safaniya. Total CAPEX around 270 million USD. This include frequent engagements and collaboration with Aramco overseas office AOC as well as Aramco Service Company ASC. Managed project supply chain and logistics which consist of multi global and local vendors, service providers, inspectors and other procurement team member while project execution.
The scope constitutes of installation of new API Oil & Gas Separators, new water oil separation facility WOSP, water injection systems, new substations and control buildings beside other auxiliary systems.
- Lead the Initiation of Saudi Aramco DBSP basic design, EPC tendering, technical evaluation and EPC contractor selection.
- Established an lead project execution strategy and plan.
- Lead the detailed engineering, procurement and construction activities at the contractor office overseas and site.
- Managing and satisfying asset owner and stakeholders executive expectations and objectives.
- Facilitating scope change management with EPC contractors and sourcing required approval per Aramco procedure.
- Setting and monitoring project control Work Breakdown Structure WBS and Cost Breakdown Structure CBS.
- Managing material requisition, specification, vendor deliverables, and setting inspection and testing plan ITP till equipment delivery to site.
- Lead commissioning and startup team for process control system and Electrical team for factory and integrated acceptance test. The brands of PCS installed under the scope of this project is as follow:
- DCS Honeywell TDC 3000 (Total of 1100 I/O)
- ESD Invensys Triconex V.10 (Total of 650 I/O)
- VMS Bentely Nevada 3500 (Total of 350 I/O) and System1.
- Power Monitoring System (PMS).
- Asset Management System (AMS) Provided from Emerson for smart ZV isolation valve partial stroking monitoring.

Offshore Gas Oil Separation Facility, Operation Engineer
- Planning and initiation of Upgrade and capital projects based on facility business plan.
- Plant start-up and shutdown procedures, updating and issuing new operation instruction manual OIM, itemizing and scheduling plant critical equipment’s due for testing and inspection during plant shutdown.
- Initiation of purchase requisition for in kind replacement and new equipment’s and materials.
-Supervision of installation, commissioning and project closeout of upgrade projects within the offshore facility like HV, MV electrical, mechanical and other PCS and instrument.
