UFS Group of Companies consists of two companies which are UFS Cargo and Clearing DMCC and UFS Foodstuff Supply LLC serving as freight forwarder and trading respectively. Being Finance Manager for UFS Group, I am responsible for the following roles and duties:
Responsibilities and Duties:
• • Management and evaluation of the cash flow forecast on a weekly basis
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to partners as needed
• Management of month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and review journal entries
• Managing purchases and sales cycle
• Evaluate inventory management system and advise to staff to improve for tracking
• Communication and coordination with customers and suppliers to resolve their queries
• Management of accounts payables and receivables by tact of transaction cycle
• Evaluate the aging analysis to make a follow up plan for collections
• Management of books of accounts as per the conditions prescribe by the FTA
• Preparation and filling of VAT return
• Preparation of the reconciliation for input and output VAT to identify for possible discrepancies
• Finalization of books of accounts as per the applicable standards of IAS and IFRS
• Managing external audit processes and answer their queries
• Evaluation of financial reports and identify variances in the budget
Express packages (Pvt) Ltd is the multinational packing material manufacturing company that aims at serving corporate sector of Pakistan. Working as a Senior Accountant, following roles and responsibilities were assigned to me.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Preparation of the monthly & yearly financial statement (income statement, balance sheet, change in equity, cash flow, ratios)
• Prepared monthly forecasting of cash flow and managed working capital
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment
• Preparation of the monthly & yearly financial analysis
• Advise management about issues such as resource utilization and tax strategies
• Prepared the budget & variances and make the adjustment in budget according to the company performance
• Ensuring all transactions are in accordance with accounting framework and application of IFRS’s & IAS’s
• Reconciliation of the receivable, payable & bank accounts
• Communications with vendors, customers & bankers regarding account balances & clearance
Ruba digital (Pvt) Ltd is a largest electronic retail chain spread all over the Pakistan having 150 branches so far. Company operates through both retail & dealership models for Pakistan market. Working as an Account Executive, following roles and responsibilities were assigned to me.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Preparation and closing of the monthly financial transactions
• Preparation of the bank reconciliation on regular basis
• Maintain & update the data of the employees & preparation the salaries, wages & overtime sheet on monthly basis
• Prepared the annex’s for sale tax return and handling weekly and annually income tax matters
• Ensuring high level accuracy of the accounts for external audits completion
• Maintain documentations & record in proper head of account in accounting systems
• Preparation and handling of the petty cash register, cash in hand register & Bank register
• Preparation of the receivable & payable ledgers & aging reports
• Preparation & updating the inventory ledger on the daily basis
• Identifying the risk-based areas and define the audit approach
• Performing analytical procedures
• Scheduling and assigning work
• Evaluating internal control systems and identifying weaknesses therein and making recommendations to management
• Performing the test of control and substantive procedures according to the audit approach
• Obtain the sufficient appropriate audit evidence of each transaction selected in the sample
• Discussions with the clients regarding the various accounting or other issues/ matters identified during the assignment
• Coordinating with professionals
• Using firm’s tools to perform the audit in an efficient manner and keeping audit performance well in line with Engagement Partner’s expectation.
• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including (IAS) & (IFRS)
• Performing the special assignment of book keeping & financial statement / consolidation financial statements in accordance to (IAS) & (IFRS), prepared & implement full Accounting System (in software or Excel), policy & procedures (for inventory, accounting and human resource related) and give guidance to staff for all departments according to the nature of business.
