Design vetting of 8 story RC flat slab system and its foundation of New JGC-Descon office building in Lahore. Different case studies for selection of flat slab system over framed structure. Also alternative studies for selection of mat foundation, instead of isolated, combined or strip foundations, with reduced mat thickness by providing peripheral shear reinforcement under the columns in mat foundation.
