Reporting to Deputy Manager Internal Audit, I am involved in various areas of Quality Assurance auditing of milk collection centers and plant where I perform duties relating to auditing and reporting. The core activities in my current role include;
•Cross testing in the milk screening lab to check that good quality milk is being received
•Improving in the Quality of milk being purchased at sub-centers
•Training of field staff including sub-center agents, lab supervisors, area manager and area executives regarding the testing and milk handing methods to minimize the risk of spoilage of milk and its losses
•Checking the glassware and chemicals being used in the main center lab and sub-center to minimize the risk of wrong testing and losses percentage was lessened
•Updated the milk collection norms regarding the testing areas
•Investigation regarding the product quality complaints
•Implemented the Standard operating procedure regarding the keeping quality of product samples at plant for checking in case of any complaint filed during sale
•Investigate the incoming imported powder problem
•Investigate and rectify the problem of milk rejected at plant that was dispatched from main center
•Made walk through of all the processes being done in Quality assurance department at plant and did audit of labs on alternate days basis
•Checking the process parameters from milk receiving till packing
•Cross testing the sampling in the process lab to check that batches are being standardized on set standards
•Increase the testing efficiency and improve the quality of product by implementing qualitative testing during batch standardization
•Worked on cut cost by implementing less cost tests
•Improved hygiene condition in labs and personals
•Increase the working efficiency of lab analysts through regular checks
•Cross testing of raw milk, processed batches, finished products, raw materials (like SMP, sugar, pulp for juice) and environmental testing to check the microbial load for ensuring that these are fit for further use or not
•Cross checking the chemicals being used in labs to minimize the risk of improper testing that will link to loss ultimately company’s reputation
•Cross testing of incoming raw materials being used in the processing to check their compatibility according to set standards
•Cross testing of secondary packing material to ensure that it will stay longer from packing to retail shops
•Cross testing in the incubation lab to check that good quality products are being dispatched after proper testing of finished products
