Currently leading trade payable department, managing a portfolio of more than 2000 local and foreign suppliers with monthly authority of multimillions payments. Accountable for the management and finalization of annual and periodic stock takings. Currently managing team of 31 professionals and reporting directly to Finance Director and CEO.
• Part of the team which implemented IFRS 9 and IFRS 15 and company loyalty program.
• Assisted consultants in the development of the company’s Board Charter and Code of Corporate Governess.
• Worked with Lead consultant and IT department to undertake gap assessment and implementation of upcoming VAT in Qatar.
• Actively involved in preparing annual group budgets and assisted half yearly and annual audits.

Worked as Finance Controller for a group of companies (5 Companies) mainly in the business of general trade, construction and a restaurant.
• Implemented an ERP system for the group and fully automated all group financial transactions.
• Streamlined their day to day activities and developed SOPs for the Group.
• Advised directors for various investments opportunities.

Finance Manager for a group of companies (7 companies) mainly in the business of construction, Trade and hospitality. My responsibility was to monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the Group, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. Preparing and filing various statutory returns like Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT returns. Contract outside services for, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary. Track the Group financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and advise the management accordingly. Prepare and present financial reports to board members in formal meetings. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the Group.

Worked as Manager Tax and Accounts for a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, in UK. Supervised a small team of accountants and helped various individuals and corporate clients in fulfilling various statutory responsibilities, including preparation of final accounts, e-fling of various statements on time, dealing multiple tax issues. My role was also to advise clients for Tax planning and sort out various HMRC (UK Tax Authority) issues like Individual tax, Corporation Tax; PAYE and NIC, Capital Gain Tax and VAT.

Completed mandatory 4 years of articles as per By-laws of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. During this period, I performed various booking assignment, various audits and supervised the whole tax department. Provided/advised individuals, AOPs and private limited companies for tax registration, calculation/reconciliation of income and sales tax returns, e-filing and submission of tax appeals and appearances before different levels of appellate tax authorities.
