Description: The increase in the inter connections of Extra high voltage (EHV) systems with the increased demand for electrical power has elevated concerns about system security and reliability. This increases brought about by environmental and economic pressures has let to an increasingly complex system. The two key concerns of an EHV system are power- frequency over- voltages and obtaining of the maximum power transfer limit over a transmission line.

Roles/Responsibilities: Involved in analysis, designing, coding and testing of the application.

Study drawings and technical specification before conducting inspection in assigned area.
Maintain latest copies of plans and specifications for inspections, testing and references.
Execute and conduct inspection as per approved quality control procedure and inspection test plan on electrical equipments and installation activities.
Identify discrepancies and document this by issuing discrepancy reports.
Ensuring contractor group’s compliance with the drawing, project specifications and engineering standards.
Make sure that all inspected items are properly inspected, tested, and documented.
Make sure that all delivered electrical materials conformed to the specifications.
Received application for inspection given by construction engineer.
Check and reviewed all electrical engineering items and equipment checklists.
Check and Reviewed contractor project execution plan and coordination procedure.
Check and review vendor’s specifications, drawings and checklist.
Prepare Request for Inspection (RFI) if required at site.
Send through e-mail all comments and notations for all deviations, clarifications and inclusions to all bidden.
Surveying installations and report preparation in prior to the pre - commissioning.
Prepares necessary documentation needed for Project acceptance and Turn-over.
Review project scope, contractual agreement & documents for the project assurance and safety concerning contractual matters.
Coordinate and attends weekly progress meeting together with the client and sub-contractors representatives.

Duties Delivered as a Marafiq Authorized Permit Receiver:
Completed Cable pulling of 300 mm² cable from Sub Station 6F to PMS Situated near to site PIC F-8110 by following all the precautions and procedures of MARAFIQ OHSMS.
Completed Cable pulling of 120 mm² cable from PMS Situated near to site PIC F-8110 to PSS Situated in site PIC F-8110 by following all the precautions and procedures of MARAFIQ OHSMS.

Authorized Permit Receiver (APR)
An Authorized Permit Receiver shall be a trained and competent person appointed to receive PTWC under which work can be carried out in specified areas. The APR shall be directly involved with the work specified on the permit. He shall be at the level of supervisor, engineer or foreman. In special cases, authorization of Marafiq technician working in "on call duty" as APR is permitted with justification from the concerned Department Manager and approval by PTW authorization committee chairman.
