• Find out essential places of Blinding for equipments isolation and monitoring further activities with Client supervisors.

My job description involves Analyzing & maintaining the data received from the client.
Identification & listing of all operational dead legs in piping & Equipments from P&IDs into API RBI Import spread sheet.
Generation of Corrosion loops (with description) and Inventory loops on process flow diagram
Population of working and design data of piping & equipments from P&IDs, GA Drawings, PFDs, inspection history, & procedure manuals in VAIL-Plant template.
Calculations of long term and short term corrosion rates of piping and equipments from the available inspection histories.
Identifying the potential damage mechanisms and calculation of probability and consequences of failure.
Facility Integrity Management of well-head structures.
Drafting inspection isometric drawings of process piping.

MY Role as an RBI Engineer:

• Supervising and controlling the field works of practically applying the piping circuits in the plant, recommending splitting/grouping circuits if necessary, and also for the identification of suitable NDE locations, specifying which type of damage mechanism is anticipated, and justification for the method of NDE.
• Collection of design, operating and inspection history data.
• Identification of applicable damage mechanisms.
• Preparation of Corrosion circuits/loops.

• Remaining life assessment.
• Assessment of Probability of failures for each loop.
• Assessment of Consequence of failure for each loop.
• Carried out Risk Assessment.
• Preparation of a procedure for identifying and marking survey locations to detect and quantify potential deterioration.
• Preparation of Plant Piping Hand Made Inspection Isometrics as per the Field by using P&ID’s.
• Identified sufficient NDE locations i.e. UT thickness scans, RT profiles, UT shear wave, MPI, DPI techniques on each piping circuit / sub - circuit to form a comprehensive damage survey.
• Preparation of CAD Drawings is carried out by using hand-drawn plant sketches from plant draftsman to produce a master set of inspection isometric and equipment drawings using the AutoCAD software.
• Identification of Scaffolding Volume at each elevation on the developed Isometric drawings.
• Stenciling of NDE Locations in the Field as per the developed Isometric drawings.
• Preparation of comprehensive Asset Integrity Report.
