Working knowledge of various international codes such as ASME, AWS, API, ANSI, ISO and specifications of Saudi Aramco, TOTAL E&P, Exxon, Chevron, British Petroleum etc.
Develop Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, Method Statements and project specific procedures.
Preparing daily, weekly, monthly reports including the repair rates of welders as required.
Organise/Witness welder qualification, PQR qualifications and mechanical testing.
In process inspection at various stages from material identification and traceability including PMI, review and verification of MTC as per ASME II and ANSI standards.
Ensure all quality documentation and inspection reports are raised, reviewed, collated, stamped, endorsed and compiled correctly.
Interact with clients and ensure product conformity & stage release for each activity as required.
Coordinate with Certifying Authority, Client, Job sharing personnel and sub contractor.
Address technical queries, maintain TQ register and follow up to close out.
Identify/follow up the non-conformances.
Internal and external audits, pre qualification of suppliers.
Prepare internal audit reports; analyse findings of audits and make initiative to take corrective/preventive action for any non conformity and verify the effectiveness of action.
Implementation and surveillance of QMS in line with ISO 9001.
Execute Quality plan through a well managed team of different inspectors by supervising and coordinating.
Conducting site inspections like Fit-up inspection, dimensional control, Pre-heat & Inter pass temperature verification, monitoring of purging, monitoring of welding parameters, Weld Visual, witness of NDT, monitoring of heat treatments like flame straightening & PWHT, witnessing of flushing & leak tests, Site Integration Test (SIT), Factory Acceptance Test, Electrical Continuity Test, Witness of Positive Material Identification Test and Pickling and Passivation.
Select the appropriate NDT as per the requirement of Specification/Code.
Familiar with various welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GSFCAW, STT, SSFCAW and Autogenous GTAW (Orbital Welding).
Familiar with fabrication of structures and piping using various materials such as Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Copper-Nickel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Low Alloy Steels and Carbon Steels.
Ensuring all components has undergone relevant NDT, heat treatment operations (where applicable) and reports are duly checked. Responsibility in this category also includes interpretation of radiographic films.
Preparation of test packages, Line Checking including the inspection of valves, equipment and instruments installed and preparation of punch list and mechanical completion certificate for the release for leak test.
Witnessing the torquing and tensioning of flanges and review of the reports.
Ensuring all fabrications were completed in accordance to drawing assembly/fabrication details and all fabrications were undergone necessary verification by customer inspection representative.
Maintain calibration plan, calibration control log, list of inspection and testing equipments and ensuring that all equipments are calibrated properly in accordance with calibration plan and procedures.
Verify qualification of the NDT technicians, inspection personnel, welders.
Documentation: Preparation of documents & Reports such as Visual Inspection Reports, Dimensional Control Reports, Weekly Reports, Weld History, Stage Release Inspection Reports, NCRs & CARs etc. Reviewing of documents/reports such as Welding consumable certificates, approved consumable register, NDT Reports, Mill Certificates, Material and weld Traceability Reports, Heat Treatment reports, FAT & SIT Reports, As-built weld map & fabrication drawings and Inspection Release Notes. Compilation of the final despatch dossier (Data Book/MRB) according to the requirement.
