• Provided technical advice on safety and health planning to project managers; implemented policies, procedures and work practices to promote HSE programs and adhered to assigned functions; arranged and conducted regular safety meetings to field supervisors.
• Conducted inspection of job site; documented and reported any unsafe acts and conditions to the Engineers and Supervisors to ensure the provision of immediate corrective actions.
• Ensured all supervisors conducted daily Tool Box meeting with all personnel; prepared and provided appropriate topic of discussion and initiated follow up response to safety concerns to be addressed during these meeting.
• Performed safety inspections of all equipment coming in to the site to ensure adherence to safety regulations and requirements; prepared safety reports and ensured accuracy.
• Conducted toolbox meetings for all employees; responsible for staffing rotations and schedules for staff under the Safety department; provided first aid to employees suffering injuries whilst on duty and sought immediate medical attention for complicated and life-threatening cases.
• Sound training, presentation and documentation capabilities; conducts and evaluates emergency drills; prepares and maintains incident and accident report, drafts and reviews SHE reports and SHE audit report; trains Security Guards and residents.
• Excellent analytic, leadership and management abilities; facilitates tool box meetings; analyzes and proposes SHE processes and output and supplies appropriate information to all stakeholders; provides technical consultations on SHE to the project management.
• Good communication, interpersonal relations and computer skills; listens, speaks and writes professionally; interacts with colleagues, clients and personnel in a direct and meaningful way.
• Sound knowledge and skills base within Occupational Safety and Health, with current work exposure to the implementation, analysis, optimization, monitoring and documentation of safety, health and environment across industries; implements and monitors safety and delivers effective solutions; proficient in excavation safety measurements, permit to work system and tag out/lock out system; sound knowledge in first aid (breathing, bleeding, burns, cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, electric shock, heart attack, drowning, severe allergic reaction, choking, drugs overdose and suffocation).
• Strong technical maintenance, support and inspection abilities; skilled in the use and maintenance of the following: Personal Protective Equipment, barriers, fire extinguishers (CO2, dry chemical powder, water, Helon), flasher lights, multi gas inductor (Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide, etc.), firefighting equipment, flammable liquid and chemicals; proficient in carrying out inspections to include: scaffolding, confined space entry, vehicles, fire extinguishers and site.
• Serves as technical advisers to the project management in safety and health planning
• Implements policies, procedure and work practices to promote the company project safety and Health program and administers assigned function to aid in this over all responsibilities.
