I was actively involved in advocacy/litigation, arbitration, consultancy projects, rendering legal opinions, drafting, vetting and negotiating contracts on behalf of clients, providing legal advice to clients, managing and supervising junior associates. The particular areas in which I worked included banking, corporate and commercial matters, contracts in general, privatization, telecommunication laws and regulatory bodies, intellectual property, unfair competition, arbitration, anti-dumping and securities markets. A part of my work was also legal correspondence. The details of my work and experience are as under:

• Drafted, vetted, negotiated and reviewed international commercial contracts (Energy & Telecommunication sectors in particular), shareholders agreements, lease and tenancy agreements, power of attorneys, partnership agreements, memorandum of articles, and articles of associations for businesses and corporations.

• Represented Warid Pakistan (formally owned by Dhabi Group and now owned by Mobilink) in corporate transactions, international commercial contracts, litigation and merger with Mobilink.

• Represented Pak Datacom Limited (public listed telecommunication company on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in corporate transactions, commercial contracts and litigation before High Courts of Pakistan.

• Represented Pak Datacom Limited in an arbitration against SAR Telecom pertaining to sale and purchase of bandwidth.

• Successfully represented Pak Datacom Limited in challenging of an Arbitration award.

• Represented as a defence counsel for accused No. 2 (former Member Gas in OGRA) in a white collar crime valuing PKR 52 billion pertaining to Oil & Gas Industry in a high profile case referred as OGRA case.

• Successfully defended Foundation Securities (Pvt.) Ltd. in multi-million Rupees law suits pertaining to sale of shares.

• Successfully defended Chief Executive Officer of Foundation Securities (Pvt.) Ltd. in a multi-million Rupees defamation matter.

• Represented Noor Capital Pvt. Ltd. and Invest Forum Pvt. Ltd. (brokerage houses) in merger and acquisition transaction.

• Represented Drekkar Kingsway Limited and Service Fabrics Limited (listed companies on PSX) in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, before Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).

• Represented and successfully defended International Steels Limited (public listed company on PSX) in anti-dumping matters before National Tariff Commission (NTC), Anti-Dumping Appellate Tribunal and High Courts of Pakistan.

• Represented Enjaz Holding, Enjaz Weaving, Enjaz Trading and Enjaz Fabrics in setting up of Group of Companies in Pakistan.

• Represented Pakistan Mineral Water Bottling Plant (Pvt.) Ltd. pertaining to international trade matters.

• Drafted pleadings, petitions, appeals, revisions, CPLA in Supreme Court, constitutional petitions in High Court and legal notices.

• Conducted Legal research.

• Appeared before civil, revenue, banking, family courts and rent tribunal, assisting senior counsels in courts and managing daily cases on behalf of SLA.
