Lead team of 2-5 on audit assignments, Close supervision of them while executing the audit assignment, Responsible for detailed review of their work and ensure proper clearance of my review notes. Provide them with effective feedback highlighting their key development needs.
Ensure preparation of high quality deliverables such as financial statements, Board/Audit Committee presentations, Management letter point, Audit reports in accordance with the Accounting and Auditing Standards and Firm's Methodology.
Nominated as Caseware Champion ( Core Audit tool of EY) for the EY Dubai office. Responsible for providing training on caseware to new staff as well as existing staff ( for new developments). Training is provided to 20-25 audience through power point presentation.
Other roles include ensuring proper invoicing and collection of Audit fees, to identify any new business opportunities or increase in fees at existing client, Counseling of 3-4 junior staff by guiding them in achievement of their carrier goals, represent their annual performance in front of review committee to decide their performance rating and promotions.
Audit (As per IFRS) includes areas such Cash and Banks, Bank loans and overdrafts, Investments, Inventory, Account and other receivables, Fixed Assets, Intangible assets, Share capital, reserves, Account payables, Gratuity/End of Service Benefits, Provisions and accruals, Revenue, Construction revenue, cost of revenue. Gross margin analysis, Other income, General and administration expenses, Finance cost, Profit analysis, Overall analytical review.
