• Project Financial Management: Overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting and responsible for monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing cash flow.
• Contract Management: Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure that contracts are clear, fair, and legally binding while protecting the interests of the company.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This includes assessing contractual, financial, and operational risks that could impact the project's success.
• Bid and Proposal Development: Working with the business development team to prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for new construction projects. This involves estimating project costs, evaluating potential risks, and ensuring profitability.
• Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Subcontractor and Supplier Management: Selecting and managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they deliver quality work on time and within budget. This involves negotiating contracts, setting performance expectations, and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing regular financial reports and updates for the company's management team and stakeholders. These reports will provide insight into the financial health of ongoing projects and the overall performance of the construction division.
• Compliance and Legal: Ensuring that all construction activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes maintaining necessary licenses, permits, and insurance coverage.
• Change Order Management: Handling change orders initiated by clients or project modifications, assessing their impact on costs and schedules, and negotiating necessary adjustments.
• Performance Evaluation: Evaluating project performance against established metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
• Team Management: Overseeing the commercial team responsible for estimating, procurement, contracts administration, and financial reporting. Providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their performance.
