Responsibilities:
Transportation & Warehouse.
• Plan and lead entire distribution team of 12 staff, including drivers, in the transportation department and delegate the strategic activities on a daily basis
• Ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time in the most cost effective manner.
• Communicate new requirements and policy updates to BU’s in a timely manner
• Issuing petrol cards to the new eligible employee's.
• Maintained proper records for both company cars and rent cars.
• Control and monitoring GPS, salik, petrol account of the company.
• maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure deliveries are met.
• Updating and provide tracking information to customers as well as to internal managers.
• Monitoring and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues.
• Analyzing delivery costs and recommended more cost effective methods of transportation.
• Negotiating contracts with outside transportation companies, assign drivers to routes, handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues. These may include damaged products and late or lost deliveries.
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse and logistics staff.
• Monitoring the overall warehouse space to ensure a safe and efficient operation for all material coming IN & OUT.
• Supervise the goods out operation to ensure it operates efficiently, effectively and safety to meet customer requirements.
Logistics.
• Oversee entire day-to-day Logistics operations, both internally within the company as well as externally with the concerned governmental authorities
• Handling and negotiating prices of the local couriers.
• Shipment scheduling supervision.
• Managing and tracking the movements of the goods with other parties includes suppliers and customers.
• Monitoring and execution of orders to ensure that dispatch product is in line with required dates and targets.
• Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities for internal customer satisfaction
• Responsible for the strategic and operational planning of customer logistics operation.
• Coordinate with shipping agents and Customs Documentations for necessary import/export of consignments.
• Applying of e-clearance thru Mirsal 2, bill of lading documents and all export/ import documentation for sea/air/land cargo.
• Applying online legalization for duty exemption as and when applicable.
• To keep tracking of CDR account with customs department.
• Import shipment filing compliance documentation to be submitted in Dubai Customs.
• Maintaining all customs documents related to online clearance as stipulated by Customs Department.
• Handle transaction difficulties relating to possible international transportation, such as Dubai Customs / Port Authority regulations and any necessary documentation
• On-time updates to BU’s / inform division as soon as materials arrive in stores.
