• Reporting to the CEO, managed general accounting for one of the biggest glass, aluminum and metal manufacturing & contracting companies in Lebanon
• Lead and manage a team of Six accountants, including selection / hiring, objective setting and training
• Review and modify the accounting system to reflect and best achieve the company’s goals and objectives and to insurance compliance with IFRS, Lebanese laws and regulations.
• Actively work to optimize, document and standardize processes surrounding VAT, Train and provide guidance to accounting and Operations functions on VAT issues, supervise the monitoring and reconciliation of VAT accounts, prepare and submit quarterly returns, Develop and supervise special schemes to lessen impact of VAT on cash flow
• Maintain And Develop accounting policies, procedures, and ensure the accuracy of timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements including the consolidated income statement and balance sheet
• Analyze and interpret financial information that corporate executives need in order to make sound business decisions
• Primary contact with CPA firms to ensure accurate information reporting, Work with external auditors during reviews and audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all requests
• support of the budget and forecast for different divisions of the company, Supervise and analyze financial reports of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets by department / cost center / project
• Serve as project manager for any system implementation or upgrades
• Identify the work flow deficiencies, reinforce and enhance the relation between the accounting department and other company’s departments
• Implement and monitor fixed assets software in accordance with the company rules and Lebanese regulations (including purchases, monthly depreciation, disposal and sales )
• Insure the timely execution of the stock count, for issuing reports on the discrepancies, for adjusting inventory as per actual physical count
• Review banks obligations covering general lines and per project facilities, Negotiate and reduce the rates relevant to LGS, LCS and Loans in the good benefit of the company
• Review and monitor weekly cash flow to limit the company’s exposure and minimize financial cost
• Review the billing process based on the percentage of completion of each project and create dynamic financial reports on project base
• Review and approve monthly accruals and prepaid expenses
• Finalize and issue salaries, tax files and periodical NSSF declarations
• Review and approve all accounting transactions and reports issued from Glassline Jordan branch
