The purpose of my role is to facilitate the work of the Protection Cluster through the provision
of assistance in analysis, organization, reporting and training of partners. This includes the
provision of active support, as applicable, to hubs, sub-clusters, and working groups of the
Cluster. As well as to supports an inter-agency team in an environment that requires high
standards of accountability, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, in which
respect the principles of partnership and collaboration are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gathering protection information from the field locations, compilation and review
for monthly and other regular reports;
• Support the Protection Cluster to ensure that protection informs and shapes the
overall humanitarian response and that the protection response is integrated into
the Humanitarian Country Team¿s common humanitarian action plan.
• Support reporting and information sharing within the Protection Cluster and at the
inter-cluster level.
• Support and facilitate the Protection Cluster information management strategy
and mechanisms.
• Assist in the delivery of protection training activities for Protection Cluster
members, other local partners, and relevant authorities and assist in the rollout of
protection cluster tools to the field, conducting trainings and workshops.
• Conduct regular field missions to support cluster coordination in the field, assisting
sub-national focal points as and when required, particularly in the
implementation of protection cluster activities and strategies

• Help foster a consistent interpretation and application of international law and
related UNHCR and IASC legal standards and protection policies.
• Promote the Protection Cluster¿s adherence to international human rights
instruments, the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement as well as other
relevant international and regional instruments; in cooperation with the
Humanitarian Country Team support local interventions when violations of
international protection standards and principles occur.
• Promote and help strengthen national legislation relevant to internal
displacement and durable solutions.
• Chair weekly meetings, draft minutes, and follow-up with different actors to
address the action points of the meetings.
• Co-chairing MHPSS meetings, supporting strategic planning, facilitating
collaboration, and ensuring technical quality and adherence to standards.
• Involve stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and supporting MHPSS
activities in line with international guidelines.

The purpose of Protection Assistant is to supports the application of community-based
protection standards, operational procedures and practices in community-based
protection delivery at the field level. As well as to spend a substantial percentage of the
workday outside the office, building and maintaining networks within communities of
persons of concern (PoC).

Specific Responsibilities:
• Assist functional units, the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and senior management to
integrate participatory and community-based approaches in the overall
protection strategy.
• Through relationships with PoC and network of partners, stay abreast of political,
social, economic and cultural developments that have an impact on the
protection environment and provide advice to the protection team. Understand
the perspectives, capacities, needs and resources of the PoC and advise the
protection team accordingly, highlighting the specific protection needs of women
and men, children, youth and older persons, persons with disabilities, marginalized
groups.
• Assist in initiatives with host communities to involve national civil society groups in
the protection of PoC.
• Support implementing and operational partners as well as displaced and local
communities to develop community-owned activities to address, where
applicable, the social, educational, psycho-social, cultural, health, organisational
and livelihood concerns as well as child protection and prevention and response
to GBV.
• Assist in the analysis that identifies the capacities of communities of concern and
risks they face.
• Support participatory assessments by multifunctional teams and ongoing
consultation with PoC.
• Support efforts to build the office capacity for community-based protection.
Support communities in establishing representation and coordination structures.
• Ensure community understanding of UNHCR's commitment to deliver on
accountability and quality assurance in its response.
• Collect data for monitoring of programmes and budgets from an AGD
perspective.
• Draft and type routine correspondence, documents and reports and maintain up
to-date filing systems.
• Act as an interpreter in exchange of routine information, contribute to related
liaison activities and respond directly to routine queries.
• Identify and recommend which individuals or groups to prioritize for counselling
and field visits based on agreed criteria.

• Enforce compliance of implementing partners with global protection policies and
standards of professional integrity in the delivery of protection services.
• Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities
impacting objectives in the area of responsibility. Ensure decision making in risk
based in the functional area of work. Raise risks, issues and concerns to a supervisor
or to relevant functional colleague(s).

The purpose of Protection Officer is to contribute to the implementation and monitoring
of ICRC protection and field activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement protection activities under the supervision of the line manager.
• Contributes to analyses of the security, socioeconomic, cultural and political
environment relevant to the ICRC, share relevant information with team members,
and reports any change in the situation.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of projects.
• Collect, compily, and interpret protection-related information (with appropriate
care for staff risk management).
• Analyse and contribute to written internal reporting and activity programming (as
part of institutional exercises).
• Help to make internal and external meetings meaningful (through preparation,
participation, reporting and follow-up).
• Develop and maintain contact with the municipal/regional authorities,
local/regional National Society branches, the local population, suppliers, etc.
• Prepare, participate in and report on all aspects of field assignments.
• Support and supervise staff in the implementation and monitoring of field projects.
• Foster a conducive environment (multidisciplinary approach, good team
dynamic) among team members.
• Ensure the sustainability of their work and puts in place a system for archiving their
work for the purposes of institutional memory.

The purpose of the position is to lead, coordinate and ensure the high-quality
implementation of project activities. As well as to coordinate closely with all stakeholders
and beneficiaries in the targeted governorates and ensure the appropriate
implementation of project activities in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with relevant government directorates and community leaders to
facilitate implementation of the project activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the district level program team and
other team members
• Ensure report formats are used properly, and all reports are submitted on time,
followed up on, and finalized in a timely manner and support where issues arise to
mentor and improve over time.
• Identify when technical support is required (sectoral, logistics, finance, reporting,
M&E, etc)
• Conduct follow up field visits and collect success stories achieved during the life of
the project.
• Participate and contribute to development of the daily, weekly, and monthly plans
and reports
• Maintain detailed records and up to date paperwork for all duties as per agreed
upon formats.
• Ensure adherence to the principle and objectives of the project, AFH and donors’
policies.
• Participate in initial assessment missions and distribution/site selections as AFH
representative
• Monitor the progress of project implementation, update the HC accordingly, and
assist in field.
Verify that all reported data is being collected properly and according to reporting
templates (indicator tracking/HIS), M&E plans are followed, tools are used, and
processes are correct.
• Ensure awareness and implementation of appropriate beneficiary/community
accountability mechanisms, including responding to Hotline Feedback and
Complaints Mechanism and community feedback sessions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for project activities and data for project.
• Ensure coordination with project stakeholders (beneficiaries, communities, local
governing authorities).

Key Responsibilities:
• Booking & Coordination: Arrange complex international and domestic travel,
including comercial and charter flights, accommodations, ground transport (cars),
and visas/permits for field personnel.
• Policy Compliance: Ensure all bookings adhere to SLB's travel policies, duty of care,
security protocols, and budget constraints.
• Visa & Documentation: Manage passport, visa, and work permit applications,
ensuring compliance with various country requirements.
• Logistics Planning: Coordinate logistics for personnel deployment to remote field
locations, often requiring detailed planning for remote logistics.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate travel records, generate reports, and track
expenses.
• Support: Provide 24/7 support for travelers, resolving issues like cancellations,
delays, and emergencies.
• Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in travel arrangements.
