Position held: General Manager and Owner.
Since 2008 I initiated a new startup engineering company and transformed it in a couple of years into a well known architectural design and contracting firm with major clients in the private and public sector gaining reputation for its professionalism, quality and most important respect for time and cost. During this period our company was responsible for the Design, Construction, Refurbishment and Project Management of more than 100 projects ranging between simple residential houses, schools, house for the elderly and governmental constructions such as the National Radioactive Waste Storage project contracted by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
Major achievements during this period
• Preparation of tender documents and bids, project plans and monitoring tools which were they key to win bids, and successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare well-articulated winning proposals and presentations for new potential projects
• Supervise the financial department in terms of project budget control and general accounting being able to sustain financial stability during times of economic instability.
• Coordinate all administrative and financial issues with the legal and governmental authorities maintaining a crystal-clear legal reputation free from any disputes or claims.
• Follow up on all human resources issues creating a positive culture of happy and productive employees.
• Supervise closely the construction management of ongoing projects leading the company to achieve a very good reputation in the market for delivering projects on time and within cost. Thus receiving several letters of appreciation from clients such as the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission.
• Plan and implement a 1-year emergency plan which put an end to excessive time and cost overrun on a project which exceeded 300% losses. (150M $ in money and 7 years in time), through supervising a team of 10 professional and technical support staff including technical managers, quantity surveyors, and scheduling professionals.
• Monitor the performance of a construction delay analysis through which all reasons for time overrun were deducted and fixed.
• Implement a new cost accounting system and monitoring tools for the project, which minimized any further cost overrun and saved millions of dollars.
• Prepare and implement a master project schedule, with continuous follow up which was a main tool to put the project back on track.
• Meticulously prepare contract documents for procurement of consultancy & contracting services mitigating any previous risks which previously failed the project.
• Establish overall procedures for project administration and oversight activities associated with construction of the project.
• Direct the implementation of an electronic project management control system which facilitated taking faster and much effective decisions
• Direct the preparation and up-dating of regular project cost forecasts which minimized any risk of cost overrun.
• Review and coordinate incoming & outgoing correspondence
• Direct the preparation of a monthly executive project status report making sure project is on track and raising red flags about any alarming factors just in time.
• Position: Head of Spears/Beirut Headquarter Station
The station is responsible for providing EMS services during peace and war to a population of 1M+ residing in Beirut. As Head of station I have managed several Mass Casualty Incidents in Beirut and Lebanon since 2002, such as bombings, blasts, street wars, etc.
Member of the National Engineering Committee for the Rehabilitation and Construction of Emergency Medical Centers in Lebanon since 2008.

• Train Trainers for the Iraqi Emergency Medical Services, Iraqi Civil Defense & Iraqi Federal Police. The training program includes project management, public speaking, communication skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills, motivation tools & technics, anger management, capacity building & constructive evaluation technics.
• Deliver training of First Aid in WAR for front line emergency responders.
• Prepare curriculum for EMS training of Iraqi EMS teams in collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
• Recruit potential trainers for the National Iraqi EMS, Civil Defense & Federal Police long term development programs.

• Proper management of most Tendering and bidding processes summing up to (500M$) leading the company to huge amounts of savings, and mitigation of future problems.
• Perform detailed reviews on all architectural design documents prepared by the projects’ architects
• Review all FIDIC contractual documents with the purpose of mitigating any future risks and problems.
