The Lhoist Group of Belgium is a world-class leader in mining and refining minerals that are utilized by diversified manufacturing industris. In recent years they adopted strategic plans to invest in new mining and
minerals production capacities in (emerging) markets to expand sales volume and accordingly have established in late 2010 a JV, with the Suhail Bahwan Group; Bahwan Lhoist LLC (BLL), with its head quarter based in
Muscat, Oman. BLL is fully managed and operated by Lhoist Group.

Responsible for: Key responsibilities includes;
• Establish understanding of mission & business goals of the JV. Under the leadership & guidance of the
JV Board contribute in shapping business strategy.
• Lead administration of relationship between JV partners; build trust and sustainability. Grasp, adapt and moderate the respective corporate values of JV partners leading to build up shareholders' value.
• In compliance with the Omani Authority visions', communicate and act on the value and benefits of the projects for the Oman economy and the local communities.
• Lead, direct and monitor geological exploration works. Plan and direct acquisition of necessary permits and licenses. Lead negotiations, establish relationship with Government/Regulatory bodies necessary to securing permits to explore site/deposits and acquire requisite license. Supervise economic feasibility
studies.

Regulatory bodies, key customers and the public at large. Explore prospects in identification/exploration and gaining concessions and appropriate sites for sourcing natural minerals limestone resources.
• Maintain effective relationship with Executive Board and Corporate management team and maintain
close relationship with legal and finance function at Group head office in Brussles.
• To explore any potential business opportunities for the Group in the Middle East region at large and the
GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Countries in particular, for possible expanison. Undertake necessary
feasibility studies and present the same to JV Board of Directors for further evaluation and assessment.

• Following the acquisition by Fugro Group of Costain's UK Ltd Business Assests, it was assigned to me to set up and to form the first ever company for Fugro in Oman and thus it was my sole responsibility to establish the main head office from scratch, in Muscat. Governmental Registration, Enhancing existing relationship with Clients and develop further
relationship with new Clients, Recruitment of Staff and Procurement of all necessary plant & equipment, etc.

• The Company commenced trading middle 2000 with handful of employee and relatively small
revenues. Over the years, I have gradually expanded the business such that we become a sizeable
company, employing some 155 full time staff and having hree operationanl branches across Oman.
Coupled with such expansion is a meaningful financial results, in all aspects, which mainly attributed to excellent relationship been developed with the variety of Clients (Public & Private) that we are serving.
