As Group IT Director, I am responsible for planning of IT activities, delegation and scheduling of
tasks, and supervision of the operation of the IT Department:
1. IT Master Plan:
a. Identifies the short-term and long-term objectives for Memac's IT department and the
company’s information systems.
b. Develops a plan and the corresponding schedule for meeting its objectives.
c. Develops the overall schedule for activities of the IT department.
d. Assigns tasks to Local IT managers and IT support in Local offices. The Local IT
Manager will be responsible for coordinating the tasks and activities assigned to the
team.
e. Coordinates with MDs and Departments head to identify system requirements and
presents initial proposals for system design.
2. Defines Operations standards and policies in compliance with external auditors and SOX
requirement.
3. Conducts presentations for Management.
4. Evaluates the performance of the IT department staff and takes necessary actions or makes
recommendations based on existing company policies.
5. Researches, evaluates and implements new software, programming tools, utilities, literature, and
other relevant materials for use in company information systems.
6. Studies alternative schemes or solutions and procedures to enhance the process of software
development and business development, to improve the company information system, and to
enrich the technical expertise of the IT department staff.
7. Performs a need assessment to identify required hardware and software technology.

8. Identifies the critical business issues and develop workable solutions for the company. These
solutions may include enhancements to existing core applications, new software packages,
and/or programs.
9. Identifies, recommends, and manages deployment of "best of breed" hardware and software.
10. Evaluates the performance of the IT staff and takes necessary actions or makes
recommendations based on existing company policies.
11. Project Management:
a. Identifies and analyzes projects requirements.
b. Responsible for developing the Project Development Plan of the undertaken projects.
c. Oversees system implementation and deployment.
d. Assures that project records, data, and documents are properly maintained and stored for
future reference.
e. Interfaces with solutions providers for coordinating and ensuring that requirements are
met.
f. Communicates regularly the management and reports on ongoing projects status and
remedies for delays or other problems.

Managing a team of 28 persons (12 Developers and system analysts; 2 DBA, 9 QA and
Implementation, 5 network and system engineers). My tasks go from gathering client’s requirements
to deployment. The following are some of the projects that I am leading:
* Build the IT infrastructure and link the 8 branches with the Head Quarter, setup and integrate
a specially developed systems for the Commission for Investigation and Prosecution (ministry
of Interior) including the following systems:
o Human Resources
o Prison Audit and Court Decisions Follow-up
o Document Management System
o Operation and Maintenance
o Research and Studies
* Document Management Solution (DMS) specially developed and deployed for the National
Information Center of the Ministry of Interior (Riyadh).
* DMS and HR system for King Fahed Medical City
* DMS for Jeddah Municipalities (11 municipalities)
* Human Resources and Payroll for Al-Othman Group a manufacturing industry of 2000+
employees (Eastern- Region S-A)
* Human Resources and E-Filing system for Al Andalous School (Jeddah)

Results:
Entertainment Ticketing Solution: In one year, Beirut on line, in collaboration with
the German Company Ticket-web GmbH, Became the leader in Event ticketing in
Lebanon.
Delivery and collection Solution: Implemented in Jordan and Sri Lanka. This solution
manage a door-to-door delivery and invoice collection, runners are equipped with a hand
held PC, Symbol SPT 1700 (Palm OS), for data transactions. And a portable printer,
type Extech 3000T, for receipts printing.
Portfolio: Beit ed Dine international Festival; Byblos Festival; Beirut film Festival; FastLink,
Number one GSM operator in Jordan, LankaBell telephone operator in Sri Lanka,
