• Support General Business Manager to improve Country performance, achieve functions and Country targets as an effective Co-pilot.
• Responsible for Country reporting and financial activities including cash, tax, legal and audit related matters.
• Actively participates to monthly Management Committee, Country Operational Review and Monthly Business Performance Committee.
• Supervise Period End Close and rock-solid accounting & reporting (SAP, Magnitude, Quantum) compliant with IFRS and local rule.
• Prepare annual realistic budget (Other General Expense, COD, CAPEX) and monthly accurate profitable Outlook (Trade spend, Other General Expense, Marketing Expense).
• Internal Control Champion, Nestle Continuous Excellence Compliance pillar in Country, coordinate internal and external audit, lead Compliance & Credit Committee in the Country and ensure right approval (Credit limit, risk category, T&E, PR/PO, WBS, ICSAT).
• Monitor and address legal topics with the support of HO legal department and local lawyers.
• Manage treasury forecasts ensuring fund availability for business operations, in coordination with Nestlé Treasury Centre.
• Ensure process in place comply with tax local rules for timely filling and accounting (VAT, Income Tax, Social Security).
• Support Country changes (especially New Road to Market) by bringing visibility on the financial / Profitability impact.
• Coordinate Country contractual agreements (lease, 3PL, BDAs, competitive biddings) ensuring flexible and competitive commitments for Nestle, in coordination with HO specialists (Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Legal)
• Lead, plan and develop a strong and efficient finance team in the Country.
Perform the objective of team leader (of 3 members) and assist the Audit Manager to perform audits and investigations of Nestlé units (Head Offices, Factories, Distribution Centres, Sales Offices, Shared Service Centres, 3rd party providers, etc.) across 13 countries in the Middle East.
Successfully completed the role covering 10 audits and one investigation in a short span of one year.
All assignments were completed within the deadlines and established positive and constructive relationship with stakeholders ensuring smooth close out of audits.
Review and assess through formal audits of Nestlé units (Head Offices, Factories, Distribution Centres, Sales Offices, Shared Service Centres, 3rd party providers, etc.) across 13 countries in the Middle East; the existence and effectiveness of internal controls, the reliability and integrity of financial & operational information, the compliance to Nestlé policies, instructions & guidelines, as well as local laws, the control over and efficient use of company resources & assets. Completed 13 audits (including 3 factories) as an auditor.
Performed the role of an audit in charge for Luxury Goods (Gucci - UAE, Kuwait and Qatar), Balmer Lawrie (UAE) LLC, Al Nakhla Crusher LLC and Al Kuthban Company LLC).
• Led audit teams which comprised 3 to 6 members including qualified and trainee staff.
• Performed the role of an audit in charge for the following key clients:
i. CavinKare Private Limited - Chennai based $160 million turnover FMCG enterprise.
ii. Murugappa Morgan Thermal Ceramics Ltd - India’s largest manufacturer of thermal ceramic products.
iii. Lotus Footwear Enterprise Limited - India’s largest manufacturer of NIKE footwear products.
• Other clients where work was performed as a team member -
i. Schwing Stetter India Private Limited - Manufacturer of heavy construction equipment.
ii. Symrise Private Limited - Manufacturer of Flavour and Fragrance.
• Assisted Senior Managers/ Partners in finalisation of audits, including issues related to audit to be presented to the management.
• Handled key areas like impairment of assets, impairment of investments and project capitalisation.
• Completion of work by assisting the team members for close out of specific areas and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and other statutory compliances.
