Having Commissioning experience in NAPHTHA HYDRO TREATER, PLATFORMING & HYDROGEN PLANT consists of Naphtha hydrodesulphurization, Catalytic reforming with continuous regeneration section, LPG production, adiabatic and steam-naphtha-reforming shift conversion, and acid gas recovery - benefield process, hydrogen PSA unit, Cryogenic systems, compressors & Pumps.

Raw Material & Products handling: Unloading of naphtha into floating roof tanks blanketing with Nitrogen, Propane, methanol, HSD and various catalyst and dosing chemicals.
Naphtha Hydro Desulphurization: Consists of Fired heater, COMOx /NIiMOx fixed bed reactor and ZnO catalyst beds to remove Sulfur in the feed stock naphtha up to 0.5 ppm from 1000 ppm.
CCR Platforming Unit: Platforming unit consists of catalytic Reforming with continuous catalytic regeneration to boost up the OCTANE No. of MS to 105. The Platformer is designed to process de-sulphurised naphtha from the NHT (Naphtha hydro treating unit) as feedstock. The unit is designed to produce the maximum yield of aromatic rich reformate, a H2 stream with minimum C5+ content and to recover LPG from the fractionation section. The feed to the Platformer unit is naphtha from the NHT splitter bottoms. The feed combines with hydrogen-rich recycle gas and goes forward in to the heaters (Reaction is Endothermic) & then to reactors .The combined reactor effluents are cooled in the product condenser before entering to the separator. In the separator the cooled reactor effluent is separated into a hydrocarbon liquid stream which goes to the stabilizer section & gas stream. The excess hydrogen-rich off gas is routed to the recontacting section and net gas compressor. This result in a higher purity net gas stream and an increase in reformate and LPG yield. The stabilizer section is to remove the light ends (C4-) from the reformate. The stabilizer overhead stream is fed to the Deethanizer .The bottom product of the deethanizer is stabilized LPG and is sent to storage.
Process design of stabilizer is carried out. Plant location and layout, Health and Environmental aspects involved are discussed. The project concludes by giving details of the safety practices that must be constantly maintained and worked upon to avoid accidents in the plant.
Adiabatic Reforming: It consists of ICI katalco NiO catalyst which produces 55% of Methane rich gas at 4500C - 5100C in the cracked rich gas reactor.
Steam Naphtha Reforming: It is tubular steam naphtha reformer consists NiO catalyst tubes operating at 15 ksc / 8600C produces hydrogen and carbon monoxide, with top fired, balanced draught co-current firing furnace.
Acid gas removal system: CO2 removed by K2CO3 solution up to 0.5 ppm through a Ben field process which consists of absorber and regenerator.
Hydrogen PSA Unit: UOP supplied 4 beds PSA unit produces 99.9% purity hydrogen.
Cryogenic System: Chiller section which is operated at -14 OC by Propane to get purity in hydrogen.
LPG Production: Production of LPG by stripping the light ends in MS.
Compressors: Centrifugal (multistage), Reciprocating (multistage) & Screw type compressors.

PRE-COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE:
➢ Preparation of Check lists regarding status of piping, fittings and other jobs.
➢ Air blowing/Water flushing of process / utility lines.
➢ Chemical cleaning and passivation of Boiler feed water system, Boilers and Steam lines.
➢ Steam blowing of pipe lines (SHP, HP, MP, DS & LP headers)
➢ Refractory dry out.
➢ Washing and loading of packing / pall rings into various absorption / stripper columns.
➢ Catalyst loading and Catalyst reduction.
➢ Commissioning of steam turbines of various types. viz., Extraction, Condensing.
➢ Commissioning of Pumps & Compressors of various types viz. reciprocating, multistage & centrifugal.
➢ Finally, the commissioning of plant & Guaranteed Test Run (GTR)

COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCE: Worked in Commissioning of NHT-CCR Unit, from heater section to Cold & Hot section.
Before feed - in: Inventory Propane refrigerant system, wash water system inventory, Furnaces on HSS mode, Stripper & Splitter inventory, Reformate Stabilizer inventory, De-ethaniser Inventory, PlatformerInventory, Catalyst Regeneration inventory, Vent gas caustic wash tower section.
After feed-in: Hydro carbons feed (Naphtha) -into heaters, start up Hydrogen Recycle Gas Compressor system, Naphtha stripper & splitter system, CCR heater system, Platformer reactor system, Net gas compressor system, Reformate Stabilizer, Chilling Train & de-ethaniser and Hydrogen choride treater, fuel gas system, Propane Refrigerant Compressor, Cycle - max Regenerator & Lock hopper system.
