• Planning resources for the shift prior to start of the shift.
• Delegating flight to the cargo agents and constant checking and following up on them to make sure work or task is carried out smoothly and in timely manner.
• Coordinating on behalf of cargo agents regarding retrieval of transit ULD’S on shift bases.
• Closely monitoring the PER thru units kept in trucks or in system.
• Dispatching ulds planned for the flight to the bay as per flight departure of the flight.
• Supervising the housekeeping for F-2 and ESTS facility.
• Looking after the bay issues and solving the issues raised by the LTL or Dispatchers of the flight.
• Replying to the e-mail send by internal and external customer.
• Constants monitoring of special cargo like HUM, AVI, VUN, LHO, DIP and NWP to be dispatched on time to the departure flight.
• Carrying out duties as instructed by QAS Duty Manager and QAS Duty Officer.
• Optimization of single intra European flight events (i.e. calculation and adjustment of stowage loss, adjustment of allotments, offer of alternatives routings according to given working instructions)
• Optimize the utilization of a defined set of flights according to operational rules and economic guidelines.
• Process complex booking request which cannot be confirmed automatically by Lufthansa Cargo reservation system.
• Timely and correct processing of queue request.
• Work out feedback for offload prevention and parameter settings
• Quality control of booking lists and flight transfers to load planning departments at Hubs.
• Appropriate reaction of capacity changes (e.g. Equipment Changes)
• Replying to the e-mail send by the BCTL (booking controller) for earlier transfer of their shipment urgency.
• Work out feedback for the daily shift report
Cargo Export:
• Undertake and involve in cargo build up operations for all major schedule flights and cargo freighters
• Specialized and designed staff for Air France, KLM & Qatar cargo build up
• Identify the use of various documents at cargo build up and based on the load plan from specific airline and briefing from SA carryout build up activities
• Ensure and observe IATA/ ICAO regulations and specific carrier instructions
• Comply with all safety requirements of cargo and ULD
Cargo export acceptance:
• Accepting and locating different types of cargo
• Recording weights and dimensions of cargo on IDG
• Ensure verify the kind of packaging, labels, required addresses, markings on the shipment and checking Embargo restrictions
Cargo Import:
• Breaking down inbound flight ulds according to flights manifest
• Relocating the cargo in the storage units depending on the conditions of the cargo
• Co-ordinate with SA and EDP staff in finalization of flight
Cargo Import Delivery:
• Identify the documents used at import delivery dock
• Process delivery of import cargo
• Process and assist consignees for cargo requiring inspection from Govt. authorities
Inter Terminal Transfer (ITT):
• Transfer joining cargo and transshipments from one terminal to other terminal within given time
• Co-ordinate with ECC, CTO, and FLC (Different warehouse within airport)
